The season just started and Janae has already given us enough to claim her Legend title! Wow! Tracy did a wonderful job training her and Janae took that technique and enhanced it....she truly is that force to be reckoned with!
She is what every woman should if not look but feel inside her soul. Then we women would be beasts. Amen and bless all my sisters with poise grace and beauty.
Janae in that uniform, solidified my thoughts...that if Angela Bassett were an HBCU dancer, she would be Janae. Her presence and features are everything! Purely beautiful! 😍😍😍😍
The Stingettes and their captain bring one word to mind immediately: CONTROL. The captain especially is completely fluid in her movements, and never looks sloppy. She sets the tone for the entire group of ladies, and they all look incredible and polished. Usually my favorite to watch is the dm’s, but the Stingettes really command attention!!
I CAN NOT STOP rewatching every performance with Janae leading. Even after the shit went down. She leads this team with perfection and they looked SO GOOD as a whole. This is too iconic. History in the making. PERIOD.
The fact that jada got cut for body last year and back on the team slaying this year with the same body ! Give props where it’s due that girl is back and killin it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It wasn’t about her weight, it was that old coordinator. Jada even said she wasn’t going to come back unless there was a different coordinator and the Lord answered all our prayers cause it was time for that witch to go.

I was thinking how close she is to the DM. My heart jumps every time he swings his mace ( I think that is what it is called). It looks like she is going to get hit but I guess she is farther back than it looks in the video.

Baby, Janae has it!! You can tell she got some good training from Tracy. Her technique and lines are so clean and precise, her walk is flawless, & she is just so confident and pretty . I live!!!
Janae has always had clean lines since pardon days in middle school. You would know that if you actually grew up dancing with her. Also, if you compare her videos from traci to now you’ll see that she improved even more at ASU. With traci everything is fast and wild... at least when she was there.

Stunning! I'm for the England and we don't have anything like this. Totally mesmerizing. Janae is special and very watchable. To be fair, all the girls are amazing.
Jakarr Gilliam Tey has a nasty ole walk too. Not many clips of her walk on RU-vid but it was a strut that caught my eye. And Yas was pretty sickening too
It is so amazing to see the influence of the dance and majorette coaches on these young women. When I see Janae strut, all I see is the YCDT Traci Young Byron influence. And the same for Daija. I see that DD4L Diana Williams influence. These young women were pushed to perfection in their own right. Love, love, love it!
I'm from the Bronx, NY. Wish we had things like this growing up. Homegirl in tha front with the ripped-body-straight-define, walking like a straight beast, killing them! Her body is all natural n I am so happy that I didnt see any tailor-made bodies; all natural n chocolate just like me. They all set the definition of sexy. Whoever hating on them r just jealous! I felt for the flag girls behind them tho, sorry for not paying attention to them because those j-girls are captivating to watch n they r f-ing slaying n not f-ing playing! Go y'all! Walk!
LadyArbiL Right! As a fellow NY’er I knew nothing about any of this. A girl from my church was captain of one of these teams. I saw a co worker who had some photos on her desk. I recognized my friend in the photo and told my coworker I knew her. She got so excited and couldn't believe I knew her. I was perplexed, then she explained that these dancers are a big deal in the south, and that they are treated almost like celebrities. I had no idea, until all these years later, after Bring it began to air did I get a glimpse into the culture. I love watching these girls. I wish I went to an HBCU, it just seems like such a unique experience, and so much fun. It was obvious Janae was a star since ”Step it up”.

To everyone saying the drum majors need to give Janae more room...it is her responsibility to keep the interval consistent between her and the people in front of her. The DMs don't have eyes behind their back to be able to see that they are too close to her.
I think Janae is PERFECT!! My only complaint is the spacing between her and the Drum majors. If they walking slow in front of her, she should just slow down a lil to get a good distance from them. so we can get the full effect of that strut!!
