This video is just the band marching into the stadium. If you'd like to actually hear them play and see them in action, check this video out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--1q3GeY-Jj0.html
I saw it and other marching bands as well. AU, USC, OU. They're a great band, many of them are and many hard work to get here. Most played two songs some are three, but no movents, If there is.. not within the songs. Some lacking in music selection some are lacking(.) The band you shoted is a half assed dancing girls. Literley, I only saw half of hers ass. But good job at shooting, need to pan more so don't have to looke at the half assed dance girls (no punt intendeted)
This is my comeback video. Relieves my stress, makes me happy to see such perfection and articulate skill ; the drummers, the marching soldiers and the girls.
As a former Drum Major and marching band member, I loved this. The precision was beautiful, as were the girls. This is an award winning marching band. Excellent!
The FUck is wrong with women today wearing wigs, fake eyelashes instead of their own real hair? Ugly as Shit when the woman would normally be beautiful. The precision was indeed beautiful.
This is pure swagger. Even in a virtually empty stadium, they’re OWNING IT! That’s exactly what a marching band needs to do. Being in a school with a good or even great football team can help, but a band must create it’s own morale and attitude. They’re there to put in a show but they are also there to show up that other damn school’s band.
Now that's attitude. Damn I love this shit. Those 3 guys when they did that turn thing in the tunnel Damn awesome !! All of it is so cool. It takes a lot of talent and discipline.
Being from Northern Ireland a country with rich road band culture and myself been involved in a pipe band since I was 4 that's 15 years of service till it this year and another 2 years with a flute band, I have till say this kind of band is very very very different till what we got here but by fuck I'm impressed. And I know full well how much time and dedication is put in so I much respect from one member across the pond till another.
The drum and bugle corps here are dramatically different from one another in style depending on the culture. The traditionally black colleges (not my term, that is the term used) have this more rhythmic and dance style. The United States Marine Corps is at the opposite in and also remarkable! Check them out, you can see many videos of the various types on RU-vid (says the chick playing 1st trumpet in such a band 35 years ago ;-)
@@alohalivin556well, that is ONE of our as you a BLACK THANG. It's a lot of HBCU. Look that up on you tube. We, have on in my city this weekend the battle of the bands. Were all playing then
@@rhondawilliams7450 And I will be in attendance!!!!! Former student of Tuskegee University, current student at Talladega College. I'm a huge supporter of HBCUs
I use to march in a band. It was nothing at all in the slightest like this. The pride, the precision and coordination is glorious. The time these young people put into getting this all just right. LOVE IT!
I'm highly impressed of how well disciplined the Alabama State University band marched into that stadium!! I saw a lot of poise and precise greatness about this marching band!! Justin from Jefferson Davis High School has chosen Alabama State University and I'm so loving this!! O cannot wait to see him with you all!! You guys are in perfection!! In so proud I saw this!! Keep up the great work!! God bless all of you!!
I love!! Alabama State University marching band. The guys are poise and discipline. Love!! seeing our black Americans college students take pride in their college spirit and university.
These young people are SO talented and work so hard. My HS and College bands (1970-1973) were good, but NOTHING like these students!! I've been binge watching all of these RU-vid videos and thoroughly enjoying (living vicariously through) every minute of them. Thank you to your Directors, Choreographers and Supporters!
The band personifies discipline and looks great doing it! I particularly love watching the drum line, they are an accomplished group, executing precision and percussion excellence.
Pomp And Circumstance. The work that these young people do to be who they are are stupendous. I went to Shaw in East Cleveland, Ohio. Was graduated in 1972. But our band was terrific. So proud of all bands.
They are just marching into the stadium and it looks/sounds like they are marching into war... Great choreography on just the marching and setup alone.
R. Adams what are you talking about it doesn’t have to do nothing about colorism it just that I like to see our black people doing something positive and not on the streets or in prison or dead I’m just taking pride stop thinking negative no matter what race we are we all equal and gods loves all of us
Damn. The entrance is a performance all by itself. Blacks see it all the time but us white folks only see a few minutes of these bands at halftime on TV. Gained a new respect for these bands.
This popped up on my feed somehow last week and I’ve been in the HBCU Marching Band rabbit hole ever since and I don’t want to come out!!! I love Janae!! May she reign forever!!!
@@dewaynesmith6924 Black American culture is looked up by other black folks in other countries as well, including black folks in motherland Africa .......
@@christianlendo7787 And also by a lot of European nations. Black American music use to be the #1 export for America. Unfortunately , a lot of the black artist didn't get paid fairly for their talents. That's the American way.
@@@dewaynesmith6924 True, black American musical genres such as Jazz and swing were popular in Europe....Some African-American artists took refuge in Europe during 1920's. They were more appreciated there....Today it's the same thing...
Too bad I can't give this more than 1 thumbs up...I've watched this 4 times so far! Truly mesmerized by the Stingettes - beautiful and talented! The drum majors and band are top notch as well but I can't take my eyes off the girls!!!
I've been casually watching these performers for some years now. I don't want to disregard everyone else because they are all exceptional. However, the front girl here is just flat out special. She's has something that makes her stand out among anyone else from every other school IMO. She's elegant.
Alabama state marching band put it down🔥🔥🔥they were lit!!they were like real soldiers..bless each one of them in everything they do in the name of Jesus...its allot of work put in..along side of the exstreem weather...💞
Hi, I’m from Canada, and I have never seen any team work like this in my life! I don’t think we have anything like it at all. I loved everything about it. The training must have taken a long time to get into sync. Beautifully done! Thanks for the video, LOVED the intro music!
Marilyn Roberts I’m from Canada too and I agree....we don’t have any Marching Bands and Majorettes with this iconic history or reputation in Canada....it’s a Southern thing and mostly done in HBCU schools ( Historically Black Colleges and Universities).... it’s an amazing tradition in Southern schools and they are as athletic and physically skilled as any of the teams they march and cheer for ....football, basketball.....it must take some amazing core strength to walk that far on tip toes, while dancing and being attractive and smiling etc....I live in Texas and Friday Night in Texas is something else....my daughter’s high school pep rallies for Football games are incredible and like nothing I’ve ever seen. Her high school has 4000 students and when you get them in the gym with a full marching band it is incredible!
It's the norm for historical black colleges aka HBCUs. Hell we go to the games mostly for the band!🤣🤣🤣🤣. I'm from Montgomery Alabama so I'll always support home. I actually went to Alabama A&M one in Huntsville Al, and got my Master's at the school they are visiting UAB. Majority white school that didn't know what hit them😯😝😝🤷🏾♀️
This is one awesome and disciplined marching band! You can see the pride and spirit in each members eyes! Really fun to watch. If the football team needs any extra players, they could probably just put a few of the band members in against the opposition!
Quite a production,I would never have imagined how much work and dedication all the members and staff go through .it makes you appreciate the band even more.as I see them walk and drill to their location I see not just band members but I see future company presidents, future lawyers and future doctors, you can see in thier eyes that they are here for far more just getting through school.it really makes you feel proud of them for going through this demanding process
What a great surprise it was to come across this spectacular presentation. This band was on fire!🔥...'cause after they entered the stadium and began turning to get to the bleachers, I became aware of a distinct yet unique syncopation between the 4 snare/cymbal players and the drummers. I had never heard that before in American marching bands but it reminded me of the funky flavors of 🎵"**Soca"🎶 JOLLY GOOD SHOW y'all‼️ Thanks for sharing.💯👏🏾💙😊 (**🇹🇹)
The BEST MARCHING BAND IN THE WORLD!I could see their passion and pride for Alabama State University! It's absolutely the greatest choreographed band. They practiced countless hours .All I can imagine as the opposing team gets a look at you they should be able to tell you mean business and no way is losing an option!I love your enthusiasm. This University should be thrilled to have this team representing this school!
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! I have watched bands for years, and was in my high school band. This is just above anything I ever experienced. I am jealous of the folks who got to see this live. And, the Ladies; They brought tears to my eyes. Whoever is directing this should be commended. Thank you for posting this.
Boy, this brings back memories. I was a band mom for my daughter in Middle and High school. Always had my sewing kit handy for emergency repairs. So much fun and they always slept exhausted on the bus trip home!
Dang I remember watching Janae on Step Up! I feel like a proud big sister when I see people on TV go on to college lol. Her, and Cameron, Makalah, Daija from Bring It
This the gold standard of university marching bands which others strive to achieve. Much respect to the director, staff and all of the members of the ASU Marching Band. A feast to the senses. Much love.
💖💖💖 Greetings from BRAZIL ( BR ), I'm addicted to these videos from American Universities, that's a lot of technique. Our Universities will never be able to reach this level 💖💖💖
I'm addicted to watching this fantastic band love the leader at the front love there sound Awesome to watch so many people working together as a band xxxx
@Hieronymous Ray why are you so worried about them? these dancers are really living in your head rent free. they’re adults and what they do has nothing to do with you.
@Hieronymous Ray all i’m hearing is someone trying erase black culture because they don’t like it. performing in a marching band or on a dance team is not holding people back. wanna know how i know? because white people are doing the same damn thing across the united states. go comment on those videos instead.
@Hieronymous Ray if your racist just say that lmao instead of hating on very talented people. If it’s not what you like or think is okay why watch the video and comment on it? every time you view the video your putting money in their pocket lmao.
Wow, that was incredible. Great videography and unbelievably amazing entrance. Really too bad there are not many in the stadium to watch it. Thanks for making it possible on RU-vid.
Thank you. The band typically marches in about an hour prior to kickoff so all the fans are either still parking/getting tickets/in line/still tailgating by the time the band gets seated.
I'll tell you the truth. Growing up, I always thought Drumline movie was just a movie. Nothing like that actually existed. I didn't know until I finally got to travel the country and see something like this. It is amazing how choreographed these students can be at such a young age. The hours, pain and passion they each have to be this disciplined is amazing to watch, better than the football game lol
JevaughnSmith2019 Ik they was playin a slow cadence for the type of march but got damn they coulda played sum else plus them snares part so basic they coulda did sum else besides paradiddles and dicing drag taps
Ya’ll Go On Now!!! Love You Band & Team!!!! This best so inspires me when working out or when I’m feeling on top of my game!!!!!! God Bless Ya’ll!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved EVERYTHING about this! The details, the extraness until they flanked left turn and hit the stairs. I love how we do whatever we do with flair. It’s the wiz to the wizard of oz. ugh we are the bomb.
NICE TO SEE COACH D & PRINCESS SUPPORTING DAJIA!!!!! Great job lady stingettes!!!!! Very precise!!! Classy & beautiful & poise!!!!! Love it!!! These drum majors were litty!!!!!
Hi Loraine how are you. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪 to Canada 🇨🇦. Hope you’re safe from Covid. It’s a lovely video. Best wishes for a lovely day 😊🙏 Michael
Have only watched a few of the HBCU marching band vids, but I can say Alabama State is my favorite. Love the rhythm, the girls are beautiful, elegant, and I like that they smile, and they move so smooth....
