I’m a Tide fan and can see that this game is a rout, but I can also see Jalen Hurts’ limitations. In play after play, Hurts is either a plodding runner or an inept passer. Alabama is dominant due to their crushing run game and in no way because of Jalen’s talents.
Just a question. Could anyone tell me whether the rules are different in College Football? Because several times I saw passes caught, or intercepts where the opposition did not touch the catcher after he fell to the ground, but didn't jump up and continue the run?
Yes, that is a difference in rules. In college, a ball carrier does NOT have to be touched. If he falls to the ground then he is down, regardless of being touched.
