Thanks for the tip. After buying a B-77 online and then discovering a broken collar, that's the first thing I look for. I did the repair with plaster of paris, but your way looks better.
Hi there, where can one acquire the threaded replacement collar and cap? My Aladdin has this exact problem. Broken glass threads on the font cap. It’s not a rare font so your method would be the perfect fix back to functional shape.
@@Kerosenecanada yes, I am US. Actually found an Alladin dealer in my home state (Tenn). Turns out I didn't need a replacement cap, though. After watching some of your vids, I figured out my cap was actually two pieces. Just had to carefully unscrew the inner threaded piece from the cap. Then epoxied that inner piece on the remaining font threads. I used a JB weld product b/c its what I had it on hand. Anyway, the fix worked perfectly. Put in a new wick and burned the lamp for the first time last night...my first Alladin, I'm hooked! Sure appreciate all your vids!
