Ha tradito la prima, assoluta più importante regola che si impara nel mondo dello spettacolo, ma anche in qualsiasi altro mondo... Ovvero quella del "the show must go on"... Nemmeno con un terremoto magnitudo 8 avrebbe dovuto fermarsi, figuriamoci con un paio di buuu. Buuu che meritava in anticipa, a quanto pare.

A Milano, il giorno, o meglio, la sera del 6 dicembre 2006 , dopo alcuni minuti dall'inizio del primo atto dell' Aida che apriva, appunto, la stagione lirica alla Scala di Milano , il tenore Antonello Palombi irrompe sul palcoscenico , con una incredibile rapidità e vestito in borghese . e tutto questo un istante dopo che Alagna ha lasciato il palco per i fischi e "bu" vari Antonello Palombi prende così il posto di Alagna nel ruolo di Radames. la immediata sostituzione è stata fatta senza convocazione del tenore sostituto che, tranquillamente, stava in camerino a " vocalizzare". a seguito di queste manifestazioni del pubblico della Scala Alagna ha quindi lasciato il palcoscenico, senza pensarci due volte. in quest post si sente solo l'ultima frase della romanza "celeste Aida".
Boos are brutal and I understand Alanga walking out the stage, crowd in la Scala can be brutal for 2 main reasons, you have to pay almoast unionised spectators to support you in bravo's, even Callas did that, second reason is that Alagna, though he is an excellent lyric tenor it's not his busness to do spinto roles like Radames and in Italy crowd understands it better then one in North America
There are NO Tickets Refunds, except the performance was canceled, that is most opera house policy, including MET. If you attend live opera you should know.
Back in the day, with lyrical roles Alagna was quite good in my opinion, and I liked him in those. His ego and poor judgement got the best of him, so I feel no sympathy at all for the man.
WOW! What fury, now I understand, this is not about Alagna, this is about Villazon. you turn your frustration to the nearest easy target. It's one thing you don't like a singer, is another thing to bitterly attack a person in both professional and personal way. It's childish and unhealth.
What do you mean by"Unemployed"? Alagna was at MET. for his full engagement of "Madama Butterfly". He and other tenors have to cover Villazon's(11 performances)NO SHOW in short notice, besides their own schedul, means they were taking more risk to sing a difficult role(Romeo). You should give more respect to those singer whose on stage, not an insult! They are not standing-in, they are the real stars who can deliver the goods!!!
Your comment are all over the places, what this have to do with La Traviata at ROH? I was specifically response your"Unemployed" standing-in remark, which was not true. Check MET. archive yourself. and to answer your specific question again, before Dec.15th he also sang the performance at 12th, and beginning of Dec.he sang at Liceu Barcelona. You seem wanting him out of job badly, sorry to disappoint you.
Spero che non lo abbiano scritturato più alla Scala. Mi spiace solo che Alagna abbia origini siciliane... ha rovinato la razza... noi che già eravamo graziosi di nostro... ;-)
Chi fischia é segno di scostumatezza poiché il cantante é sottoposto a stress continuo sul palcoscenico mentre invece il pubblico é bello seduto a godersi lo spettacolo, la società dovrebbe imparare che il cantante non é bestia da soma, può avere cali di zucchero, può sbagliate può sentirsi male, secondo me Alagna ha fatto benissimo ad uscire poiché il pubblico non meritava .
Ha fatto bene, con i cafoni, avrebbero meritato una sospensione dello spettacolo. I loggionisti spesso sono una manica di autentici ignoranti, non sanno manco leggere uno spartito si fissano su qualcuno e poi fischiano a cavolo. Ricordiamoci cosa fecero con la Tebaldi quando arrivò la Callas, tutti a elogiare la Callas, poi quando la Callas tramontò organizzarono una corriera a elogiare la Tebaldi al San Carlo. Questo si trova in un documentario dedicato alla Tebaldi. Manica di volta gabbana e incompetenti, fosse per me i forni crematori a queste persone così si liberano posti per gente giovane che da ricambio a quattro rincoglioniti capaci di fischiare ad cazzum.
