Sooner fans travel very well and for a somewhat close (location in regards to OKC/Norman) bowl game, that's going to be a killer atmosphere with the riverwalk and all the Sooners in town. Have fun, be safe, and go look up the 2006 OU/Oregon game for some thoughts on why a lot of Sooner fans might be a little salty. Particularly, the last onside kickoff haha!

As a duck fan I’m excited for this match up. I’ve hoped for an UO vs OU matchup for awhile just because Oklahoma is a good team we haven’t played in forever. Should be a fun game, both teams losing their HC. Ducks have traveled well to the Alamo dome in 2013 and 2015 seasons. Good luck to you and the rest of the Sooners

Next Charles "BUD" Wilkinson, he went by Bud so that is a B as well, #3 national titles should have had 4 or 5. 47-0 still the record in college football for winning streak, a gentleman but a man who was dedicated and tough. His was the 52 defense, and the Oklahoma drill. Coach Wilkinson will always have a place in every Sooner heart. Next The Bootleggers son, the affable and Charismatic coach equally tough minded and loquacious. Barry installed the Wishbone, born from the wing T a former sooner player and Legendary Coach at Texas Darryl Royal invented it, Barry perfected it. Barry's first 3 seasons were amazing, on probation for the first two he went 10-0-1, tied a USC team that they dominated. in 1974 still on probation, still with the Selmons, still with silver shoed Little Joe Washington, why silver? In my words, because he was priceless. We love Joe Washington and Gregg Pruit, Steve Owens and Billy sims. We also love Steve Davis the qb that captained 2 national titles, But it was Barry the Vice Admiral of the Nimitz class fleet known as The U.S.S. Soonergeadon. So Barry left the program in 1989. Gary Gibbs came in and did one hell of a coaching and administrative job at Oklahoma. He was criticized unfairly and we fans suffered from our own stupidity. We love you Gary Gibbs you are a class act, and a great coach. It is not always about win's and losses. You helped to correct the curse and culture at Ou, God bless you. Now onto another b coach, Bob Stoops, Bob has more wins than any pother Sooner Coach. In 2000 he won Oklahoma's 7th National title. He and his successor would dominate the conference as had his predecessors dominate the Big 8 and the Big 7 and 6. Bob stepped in and stepped up this past November, a legend and a sooner at heart. We love us some Bob Stoops, what a truly honorable man with great character. So we have another B, A remarkable man we are familiar with in these parts. Brent Venebles is still loved here. A truly proven commodity and a life story that explains his success and his ability to adapt and overcome. He takes hard earned life lessons and applies them to the game. When an adjustment has to come Brent is quick to understand it and convey it to his defense. I am giddy, like a 7 year old on Christmas eve. Like a college student getting Mammas Lasagna for a birthday dinner, homemade and full of gooey goodness cheese. I cannot wait for spring football. I know we have a bowl game, if they use pac 12 officials I will refuse to watch it. Punters don’t get drafted often, but Turk for sure will. Not only will he be a pro, but I think he will be a multi-year pro-bowler. Best college punter I have ever seen and we have had some great ones. OU had the best kicker/punter combination this year that you will ever see anywhere. Thanks for transferring here and becoming a member of the Sooner family. As a grad more than three decades past, I can tell you that you will always have a kinship with your fellow Sooners. That’s a for real deal, not just some recruiting talking point.

It's a well respected and established bowl..great atmosphere..great bowl 'Name.'.great looking trophy..good payday..good city....I played in the Potato Bowl 21 years ago in Boise, Idaho against Boise State. It seemed like yesterday.
