What was the experience at alamo like? Going to rent there in about 2 months, would you recommend?

@@hakunamatata4475 it was pretty good, I got a free upgrade on an convertible and no extra charges or scam things at return. Only thing was I got charged 50 dollars more when getting there (before the upgrade) since I prepaid in Euro I assume it’s from the currency exchange right now, but no one at Alamo could explain the situation. I also filmed all small scraches when picking up the car and asked them to confirm there are no extra charges because of fuel or whatever at return. Everyone was very friendly to me

LAX has a lot of mustang convertibles and it’s most likely they will have one for you there. They also have been getting in some new Camaro convertibles. Don’t worry about the Buick Cascada they stopped making those and they’re all higher mileage and not many left in the fleet. That might have been the last one. Lol

Unfortunately didn't have time to make it out there this trip but I do have some videos from a stop by there earlier in the year.

Alamo, Enterprise and National have an American Muscle Car Class at a number of airport locations.

Pick up ist ne schlechte Idee als Mietwagen für einen Trip. Die Ladefläche ist nicht abschließbar! Für Gepäck also nicht zu gebrauchen (Diebstahl, Regen etc). Vom Verbrauch sind die auch ziemlich übel (Gallone kostet 6$!!), in den Städten zu groß. Wozu also?Nimm die lieber einen normalen SUV…diese sind auch deutlich billiger.

Your best option is to book through National (part of Enterprise/Alamo group) and sign up for their free rewards program, where you can pick from an aisle of cars called Emerald isle. You can book a Colorado and they will send you to an area with that car class or if you do not like what they have, you can pick from an isle of cars for the same price.

Thanks for watching. Enterprise, Alamo and National all share the same fleet and have great customer service. If anything the selection over at Enterprise and National might be slightly better. National usually has the lower mileage cars with the higher mileage cars moving over towards Alamo and Enterprise somewhere in the middle.

​@@CarRentalGuy I can reserve a standard suv for the same price at alamo and enterprise. But Enterprise doesn't offer a skip the counter option and don't let you pick your own. What is your recommendation who to choose if the price is the same?

Both Alamo and Enterprise are great and you can't go wrong with either. If National was the same price it would let you skip the counter and choose from the aisle also. Myself I would book with Enterprise over Alamo as if you add in your Emerald Club number you can earn a rental credit towards future rentals. Or if you prefer you can sign up for Enterprise and their own rewards program. Enterprise is staffed fairly well and they have quite a few agents available to help. I don't think you'll have to wait long unless you arrive during a really big rush period.

No worries if you have a reservation for one there were a lot upstairs in the overflow.

Cars are always coming and going and they'll pull more from the overflow as necessary. National/Alamo/Enterprise all share the same fleet and there are a lot of cars there at the facility.

@@CarRentalGuy Yeah i know they are replace them in general. But I am pretty sure Alamo wont let me choose from National or Enterprise fleet, isnt? :) We have been there and we always wait a bit for bigger or better cars.
