The PR team is indeed doing a commendable job, and their efforts are appreciated. However, it's important to remember that the audience is discerning and can see through performances. Authenticity and emotional connection are key. Keep up the good work, but don't underestimate the audience's ability to recognize genuine talent and effort.
OTHER ACTORS PLAY HOWEVER THEY LIKE BUT - here we are talking about Sharmin. She did Good job, period. This shows on the screen. HER ACTING DO NOT COMPARE WITH OTHER ACTORS. She came up with her own body language and her own carrying out. Innocent of young girl who is just turning to teen age [how they are naive] that is what Sharmin played and yet mature enough to take blame and sacrifice herself and her life for country. Those days’ people were that patriotic. When you are at shock mode when Manisha gives hard punishments and Sharmin shows those shocked emotions and when she wanted to take the pain with a smile that also shows on screen. If you watch it again with positive lenses to see Sharmin Segal Mehta then you will notice that her character was of a innocent girl who never stepped out of that world so I think she maintain that innocent on her facial expressions and on her dances because they are showing her that she never wanted to be part of that world so she never liked wearing jewelry etc. she never learned dance so first time when she was forced into the mess her innocents shows on the screen. I THINK SHE DID GOOD JOB. Taha also did good job. In fact she did extra ordinary job - all seniors in Heeramandi did typical same sort of acting while she stands out with very content acting. Her persona was of a very typically drawn from being at ease in one's situation, body and mind in movie. She was making someone else feel happy and at peace with things in her own mind. I liked that she was able to carry out that on her shoulder and it clearly shows on the screen. In the Malaal movie: - I LOVED her scene at the ocean front with Shiva, her acting was superb. She is so expressive at that time and also when she and Shiva are at her friend house and next day she is telling Shiva that they cannot get married that perfect execution of the scene by Sharmin Segal Mehta. She is a fine art example. She is marvelous and excellent even in Heeramandi. Why stupid people are trolling her. ---
Can this PR team stop trying to gaslight an entire audience by telling us what we should Or shouldn't like? Can you guys pls stop telling us what we should be expecting? Audience ko pata hai unhe kya chahiye ek SLB movie se. I do understand that she wasn't supposed to be as expressive as others and that was the demand of the character but even so, like laapata ladies, those roles also did not call for intense reaction, and yet they were able to connect emotionally to their audience. The audience that isn't happy with her performance isn't just talking about poker face, it's about drawing us in and making us feel her pain and suffering. I'm sorry but that wasn't visible. The audience isn't just upset over nothing. If Bobby deol can express without words, the opposite can be true as well. Non expressive roles require intense passion to be portrayed differently. It's like she doesn't understand what she's saying. In the same scene there's Sharmin saying 'Humare saath to dhokha hua hai' and Taha saying 'Aur humare sang fareb' and yet Taha's words hit and hers were like ye has ri hai ya sarcastic hai ya nirash hai ya shocked hai samajh hi ni ara. Itna to clear hona chahiye na. We're not asking for paro ya chandramukhi level expressions, but character kya feel karra hai itna to samajh aaye. I don't intend to hate on her but please stop justifying her lack of effort by saying it was the need of the character. Laapta ladies mein to isse bhi kam ki scope thi but rula diya , hasa diya, sab dikha diya. Rote hue insaan ka to chehra rota hua dikhe. And for God's sake it's an SLB movie, it's expected to be larger than life. Everything is expected to be one or two steps beyond normal. He created that legacy for himself. Ab anurag kashyap ki expectations leke to nahi ayegi na audience dekhne.
Its just how an introvert poet is supposed to emote. Her emotions come alive in her poetry not on her face . Especially when she is in an environment where women use their faces and bodies too much to communicate. Also the poor girl has a mother from whom she has been forced to hide her true feelings and emotions ever since she was a child. Whatever people may say I think the actress did an awesome job I don't think anyone else would have risked so much for a character. No one apart from Sharmin Seghal could have portrayed Alamzeb so well. The poetess with a storm of emotions going on inside her but forced to bottle it all up. Kudos to the actress. One can get a rare glimpse of her feelings on the swing fleetingly. Her longing for love and freedom along with the bittersweet resignation of knowing that will never happen in her life. Honestly the actress has risked so much for this character and doesn't deserve any of the backlash. Its just because she happens to be related to the director that she is getting so much flak. I would look fwd to how her character changes and evolves by the death of Taj and as she becomes a mother in Heeramandi.
Did shamin pay you? Look at all other films of Sharmin same stoid expressions. Did her mother really supress her in ALL her films? There is absolutely no personality depection in any of her varied roles in her varied films ...the same dumb smile.
@@shashivadanaWOW Your tone reeks of negativity from the first sentence. I could ask you the same...Did her haters pay you? Don't you have better things to do.... like a Job??.... on a monday morning rather than having issues with random people who have a different opinion than yours? ONLY YOUR OPINION is the right opinion??? Ego much is it Eh?
I think you have not met an introvert in your life. Introverts are not expressionless. This woman is just some spoiled narcissistic brat who has no clue what she is doing because she has been fed with a silver spoon all her life.
I am sorry but I don't think she was that bad really. I mean her expressions are quite muted i admit that but really saying "expressionpess" although is too much. Because i really enjoyed her performance
I wish to see the face of the person who created this video clippings. I'm very eaver to see whether he is as handsome as Hrithik Roshan, SRK, Surya or Tom Cruise.
Very talented actress did justice to her role. Some idiots think she was expressionless no she had lots of expression not as jumpy Tawaif but as decent educated sensative carsing sensible girl raised in Tawaif house
i would appreciate if it was underplayed but there is an eternal smile on her face even when her boyfriend dies which is confusing the audience and could not participate in the grief because of the joker like smile.
I personally think there are such people who dont showcase their emotions too much.. They r really really intorvert.. Maybe shes meant to portray such a character maybe...
I think thats what slb wanted. A character who is quiet, intelligent and in pain. Its very difficult to convey emotions without being too animated. Sharmin doesnt have the talent for that. It takes real talent to be expressive without being over dramatic. He should have casted differently. Personally, i was impressed with sanjeedas acting.
Not sure why actresses do lip job. It doesnt help for their acting at all. This sharmin seem to be smiling alot during the wrong times and every single smile looks fake without any emotion in her eyes. Her expressions are much better during interviews. I think Bhansali was blind when she acted
Too bad. I saw her for 4 minutes and couldn't even complete 9 minutes. It must be torture to see her on screen. Lip injection itne bhar liye hai ki hasa bhi nahi ja raha, dhang se. Clearly she don't know acting yet, which is fine. But atleast itna side character dete rather than main character. Puri series kharab kardi.
