I'm 52 years old. Married in October of '91 and went through a divorce in '93. Married way to young at the age of 20. Drowned my sorrows to this song MANY times.
I was sad to hear about Alan’s illness such a great singer and a nice person. His disease takes over your body slowly and eventually it disables you. Praying for you Alan

This song brings back so many memories... happy and sad. I miss the simpler times and this kind of country music... real country music. I frankly don't even listen to what passes for country these days. Makes me want to wretch... bring THIS back to the airwaves!

My Beloved Son and I use to go out and we would listen to this song over and over again.I had him gust turning age 17 teen so we did a lot of things to gather.....He would fight gust if anyone would try to talk to me.loved it.Allen was and is all country !!
You're right ✅ I've been to his home town of Newnan Georgia before. In fact I had been there twice. And each time I was there. He was not there. I also went to Nashville three times but Alan wasn't there. What 's going on? Do you know?AND! I've seen him in concert.And he put on one heck of a great show.
