The Million Dollar Game hosted by Hustler Casino Live was such a treat to all poker fans! Watching some of the splashiest high stakes players battle it out with over $1,000,000 in most of their stacks! This weekly poker hand will show you exactly why it was such an entertaining stream to watch!
Jonathan's new book: 100 Essential Tips To Master No-Limit Hold'em is now available! You can get it here:

dandbpoker.com...
Jonathan Little does not recommend calling an early position raise with 75o, but if you are extremely rich and are having fun then who cares! On the flop Yong decides to use a rather large bet size (around 80% of the pot) which is not often seen multiway on such dry flops. Having said that, as the effective stack gets deeper it becomes more reasonable to use larger bet sizes in order to get stacks in with your strongest hands.
Alan Keating opts for a small raise size which actually makes a lot of sense when facing such a large bet and on a board that you have a lot of the effective nut hands. Also Keating is likely aware that Rob Yong will likely be betting too frequently on this board which means that his range will be much wider and will include a lot of bluffs.
The turn card is generally quite bad for Keating's range that might opt to use a small raise size on the flop. Lots of tens would raise as well as some draws, so when he decides to continue for a large bet size on the turn he is essentially narrowing his range to nutted hands which is quite hard to have.
Jonathan believes that on the 5h river that Keating has to continue bluffing as some of his bluffs will have contained a 2 and it is unlikely that Yong will have a 2 in his range.
Alan Keating is a well known cash game player often playing in the biggest cash games live and private games around the world, he has become more of a regular on the Hustler Casino Live stream.
Rob Yong is an English poker player, and the owner of Dusk To Dawn Poker Club which is the largest poker club in the United Kingdom, and second biggest in Europe. Rob has over $1,000,000 in live tournament earnings, but he is mainly a cash game player having played in many of the biggest games around the world. Rob is known for being very talkative at the table.
This hand took place during the highly anticipated Million Dollar Cash Game on the Hustler Casino Live stream. It had an array of professionals and businessmen competing against one another. Some of the most well-known poker players that played in this game were: Doug Polk, Tom Dwan, Tony G, Rampage, Wesley, Stanley Tang, Nik Airball, Huss, J.R., Double M, Blank Check Ben, Brandon Steven, Charles and Rob Yong.
🃏 Preflop:
In this exciting poker hand, Blank Check Ben opens under the gun +1 (UTG+1) with the modest 2d2c. Rob, on the button (BTN), makes a questionable call with 7d5c, and Keating defends his straddle with 96hh.
🌟 The Flop: Td 4h 3s
On the flop Keating checks to the preflop aggressor. Ben who has completely missed his set decides to slow down and opts to check as well. Rob seizes the opportunity with his gutshot straight draw and bets $14,000. Keating, however, decides to make a rather ambitious move, raising it to $40,000 with no pair but backdoor flush & straight draws. Ben finds the easy fold & Rob decides to splash around and calls the raise.
🌀 The Turn: Ac
The turn card brings the Ac into play which does not change the strength of either players hand. Keating doesn't back down & follows through with his story by placing a $70,000 bet. Rob, now has a double belly-buster & makes the call, bringing the pot to a mouth watering $239,000.
🔵 The River: 5h
The river card now actually gives Yong a pair, albeit a very weak one. It also opens up a straight if any player were to have 2 which is unlikely the way this poker hand has currently played out. Keating fires his triple barrel bluff, betting $160,000. Can Yong find a crazy hero call to take down over half a million dollars? Watch this poker video to find out!
Jonathan Little analyzes live poker hands from TV poker shows such as Poker After Dark, Hustler Casino Live, The Lodge Poker Club & PokerGO. He also analyzes popular poker vloggers such as Rampage Poker, Brad Owen, Jaman Burton, Ashley Sleeth, Wolfgang Poker and others!
You will also find many poker hands on this channel that contain some of the biggest names in the poker world such as; Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Doug Polk, Garrett Adelstein, Tom ‘Durrrr’ Dwan, Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates, Fedor Holz & many more!

Who is YOUR favorite poker player that has appeared on the Hustler Casino Live stream? And why is it Alan Keating? 😜

I don’t like to show the bluff. Taking their money is enough, making them feel worse about it just isn’t necessary.

I used to show everything, under the assumption that, if I’m balanced in a spot, and happy with the play, then there’s nothing to be gained by the villain seeing my hand. As I get a little bit older and wiser, I’ve realised that you really just want people to want to play with you, and if you’re constantly helicoptering bluffs in peoples faces they probably won’t want to play with you in the future. If they ask, I’ll show, but otherwise I keep it to myself.

I show bluffs for image control. I like to show monster hands that didn't get called, so I try to offset those about 1 for 1 with bluffs.

Definitely for value and for next time when I have it. If person ends up tilting that’s just an add on. I generally don’t show but there are times it can work against a certain type of player.

I do it to look like a boss. I also know that ego is one of my Worst Poker Enemies and I need to work on stifling the urge to show the bluff. I like Hellmuth's advice: only show value to reinforce the idea that your opponents should lean towards a fold in close spots. That said, when I do show a bluff I know that I can value bet thinner for a while against any attentive villains.

I never show bluffs, in my opinion and experience, you win 100% of the hands that opponents fold to you, and I want to win hands. If I show bluffs, then it’s marginally more difficult to win hands bluffing. I’m sure people will disagree with me, but in my experience it has worked for me, as I want to reward the good behavior of folding to me.

I show to induce a call later, which usually works. Sometimes, just sometimes it induces too many calls, but that allows me to increase my bet sizes when I do have it. Although I play 1-2, 1-3, and some 2-5, that maybe why it works well now.

I have never voluntarily put money into a pot without pocket aces preflop, and never continued if the flop didnt have another 2 aces on it. Thats just how you play poker to win.

I have shown a bluff exactly once, when the opponent offered me cash money (2BB) to show my cards after he mucked. In that case, it was a bluff, but it just as easily could have been a value hand.

I show on occasion for image control. I’m generally tight-aggressive, and want to advertise that I’m not just nut-peddling. While I understand the arguments against, I think this had netted me a lot over the years. Just last month in my home game, I got paid off twice with quads because I was in there with the right players and they had seen enough over the years to know I might not have it. Generally though, the more someone asks to see it, the less inclined I am to show. There are times you want to keep them guessing! Rather, I show when it’s less expected to establish my bluffing bona fides

almost never show bluffs, unless completely insane looking ones (once i fired/reraised every street having started with rolled 10's vs Q bring in, by river had a boat and pair of 6's as worst hand (i.e. best in razz) possible). esp in hold em as it's hard to make hands, incentivizing opponents to call you lighter (or play back at you more) in general, in hold em, is going to make it harder to win money. the exact opposite would be the case in say PLO8 where you can make a really good hand (at least one way) FAR more often, there getting people to play back at you and/or call you light is more valuable.

sorry, didn't start off saying that crazy bluff was in razz, and online. had opponent rivered anything as good as a 5 card 10 or maybe even a better queen i'd have been called (pot odds, and my board looked like i just had a 10)

I always show the bluff with the intention of having the ability to rep more ranges in following hands. I also noticed doing so makes people think you are less skilled at the game than you really are. My style is based on being unpredictable while also being more tight aggressive. It is a great style for me as I tend to play well sizing up the overall dynamic at a table, combined with having a strong pulse of where players are at in hands given the information available. I also believe if you can't win still after showing bluffs, then you aren't as good as you may have thought. Who knows though??? I could just be really stupid. 😂

Does anyone actually think Keating is a good player or just think he is someone who likes to gamble and hope to win? I personally hate players who play poker just to gamble and get lucky. Why not just play other casino games instead. Why try and screw over other people to win money instead of the casino.
@jasonbatteiger2421

nobody actually thinks keating is good at poker, but it sure makes for more likely to get people to view this saying "genius or punter" so i'd assume that's why that's the title.
