A piece of my heart went to Heaven with Alan when he passed away. I have a ring made of forget me not flowers that I wear to remember him always. RIP sweet Alan.

Please send prayers out for Alan and his family I heard he very ill and this makes me and many of the girls of the70s sad so we do not give up hope and prayers, after all, they were never Yesterdays Heros to us we never forgot them even after forty plus years. God bless everyone

Could Les really play guitar or was that make believe? I was too obsessed with Les to realize that Alan was really good looking, just as good looking as David Cassidy was in the 1970's....Alan could sing !! RIP Alan. BCR4Ever
I was too obsessed with Eric to notice Alan. Now as a 54 yr old woman and just learning about Alan's death, I'm looking back and it's obvious as anything that Alan was definately the handsomest. But at the end of the day I still love them all.
Les plays guitar in a few more of their videos too. I saw them in concert back in the day and Les did play in a couple of songs then. More when Woody does keyboards and Alan's on bass, to add rhythm guitar to Eric's lead guitar.
From what I've read as I don't know firsthand - Woody's favourite chess piece was the "White Knight" and he had his guitar specially made (custom job). In a recent Q & A FB session he did say that it is fairly heavy.
Woody still has the White Knight, and a lucky fan (sadly not me!) recently not only got to see it but even held it for a photo. She confirmed it is very heavy! Woody always was fit!
