Alan is definitely a Fiji Banded Iguana. If he was a Fiji Crested Iguana, He would have a larger body size & a large Crest. Hence the name. But still, I do like different species of Iguanas in all shapes & sizes.
@@eltonsmor I figured that Ohio wouldn't cut it in terms of shipping and transportation. Thanks for the info though-They are indeed beautiful lizards 👍
@@eltonsmor thanks for your answer! It‘s pretty hard to get information about these beautiful guys and i just loved your video. You seem like a pretty good and trustable owner 😍
Hi! What a beautiful specimen. I know this video is a few years old but I was wondering how handle-able is he now that you've had him a few years? Also wondering how often you need to spray or mist him.
Hello- thank u. Alan was always fine to handle. He has gotten more needy with time, and loves to jump out on me when im feeding or misting. If u want to see what he looks like today, Im on tiktok as chrissie_75
@@santosleeli i mist him daily and offer a huge bowl of food every other day and snacks on the days inbetween- snacks can be things like u see here or fresh herbs or some fruit. Depending on ur location they might be hard to come by- i know they are illegal in USA
@@eltonsmor One other question if you don't mind - what substrate do you use? I think in your video you mention not keeping him with plants since he eats them, but I was wondering whether you use substrate. I imagine he poops on the substrate, etc.
@@eltonsmor i thought you're in US, actually i'm from indonesia, so it's actually cost 165 million rupiah which is around 10.000$, i thought you're from US, so i converted it to dollar, and i didn't know the regulation in US, So Where do you From exactly (?) Canada (?) And how much it costs you ..
@@ghostunderyourbed Ohhh no, Im danish. I didnt pay for him, I was asked to take him because he was born w a defect and I do rescue. Their prices vary greatly depending on what country u are in however, so I have no idea what u should expect to pay.
Why would the breeder give you only a male? No chance of breeding! Are you going to keep this lone male iguana in captivity by itself for its entire life? If so, what a shame!
