You do need to keep them on thermostats for sure! If you hve a good basking rock, the heat pad shouldn’t be necessary

Our is pretty decent, but I definitely think they stress more easily than the other species of iguana out there

Fiji isn’t considered part of South America... but ours is captive born and bred in Canada

Evolutionarily there are many ways that organisms can cross massive distances. I haven't looked it up but it's likely that these animals were around when the continents were all in much different places.

Even if they weren’t, there’s still numerous ways organisms can be transported to other continents thousands of miles away

Roger Pfyl please make an alternative recommendation then besides stating that everything is too small. Our care is based off of recommendations from all over the world, a lot of which is European standards. The iguana is in this enclosure temporarily while he adjusts to his new home and will be upgraded to something massive by the time he’s an adult. I’m curious to see what your non American standards are for ackies and crested geckos. We have been keeping ackies by Australian and European standards for years. If you have more info from alternative sources please feel free to leave it so we can look into it, the both of us strive for above the bare minimum for our animals and won’t turn down constructive criticisms but this comment is not constructive.
