The noise was made by a synthesizer. If you eve heard The Captain and Tennille's "Muskrat Love", they use the same thing for the muskrat noises, just pitched a bit higher.
I'm glad this made the cut Angela! You probably like it for whatever reason I like it. The summer it was a big hit, I was 13 year old young girl, and I would loudly sing along to it with glee. It wasn't until my late 30's when I heard it again, that I realized, and verified, it is indeed about a young boy discovering, well, the "M" word, and/or "special dreams" alone in his bed, learning what a sexual relationship with a girl would be like someday! That's mainly the reason it is a guilty pleasure now that I'm not that innocent naive girl anymore ! 🤭😊
Great song, thanks who asked for this one, and for your regeret, having fun. A song from 1977, the 70`s.... had something special, picked Billboard chart that year. Nice reaction.
Love your reviews and reactions - great job. I remember this song VERY well - it came out in 1977, the year I retired from the United States Air Force (after 20 years) Have drank a few beers listing to this song. You're funny tonight. Thanks
That sound is some kind of synthesized keyboard. Don't know exactly which one. I am guessing moog because of how far back this song comes from. Keith Emerson of Emerson Lake and Palmer was a pioneer in the use of synthesizers. He bought the 1st version of the moog which was a monster especially after he added to it. "Toccata" from the California Jam also features the 1st use of "Electric drums" That include a "repeater"
Good song !! Back in the day we had so much fun going to the dance clubs. No cell phones just good times . (To Shy) by Kajagoogoo is a catcy song that sticks in your mind once you hear it.
Great guilty pleasure song. How about trying “Sentimental Lady” by Bob Welch? Not as upbeat at this one but similar fun-but-cheesy vibe and from the same rough timeframe.
The main instrument in this song is definitely a keyboard. Either one with built in sounds like the synthesizer or it could have been multiple keyboards….👍🏼👍🏼
You like this song because it's a great song, honey! That's all that matters. It was a great song back then and it's still a great song today. I hope your channel continues to grow, because you are precious and the songs you react to are awesome!
I think this is under the term "Bubble Gum" music. Made for pre-teen to 15 year old girls. Not making fun of it, it's an actual name or genre of music that was used in the record business.
