I can see how much Alan Sugar genuinely enjoys flying just by his reaction and offer to help. I feel like he's dead serious about wanting to help Lee with his fear here.

I feel like he might have also had a fear of flying and got over it the same way. It's quite a common way of doing it particularly for people with fear of flying but no fear of heights for whom it's often actually a ln issue of them being scared because it is entirely out of control in those cases giving them the stick usually works for curing them.

We notice that you 🤐🤐🤐 a lot, that s why we think that you are an A-Game Contender, & we are staying with you.☺️😷😷🤗👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏. This was a funny one & glad that the people sitting with the 'Fear of Flying', Person did not take offence in his rebuttals. I to had a fear of flying, so my Sister visited us from the East Coast of Canada, booked a plan flight to BC, Canada where our Brother was living, was in hospital & our Momma wanted to see hm right away. So, as Sister book our flight, which later on were 'FLIGHTS' on a very small plane; we took off and landed 8 times until we came to our destination. After 3 times up/down I was not scared any more, however I did keep praying.

My fear of Twisty (Really Twisty Canyon Roads kept me from everything that was on the other side of certain "mountain ranges". From the day I took the wheel and obviously drove through the Canyon Twisty Roads. That set me free. Now I drive them all the time and at high speeds. ⚠️📢 not all that dangerous levels. I was about as bad as Lee Mack until I sat in the cockpit of an SAA flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town in 2001 pre 9/11.Can't be done now. Pilots were very professional etc No vodka or children behind the controls like one Russian pilot allowed his child to do leading to disaster. I still dont enjoy the experience so I appreciate his fear but at least no white knuckles and teeth clenched for 12 hours or so.

I remember this episode well. Lee’s comment was referring back to a rather disparaging remark made by Sugar to Pamela Stephenson. He had told her she wasn’t “a proper doctor”. He (Sugar) was a complete tool and rather soured the atmosphere on the show. She did well to ignore him and rise above it. I think Lee Mack was making the joke to try and lighten what had become a rather heavy atmosphere.
