First tank of fuel through the new TN70. It flies very light composers to previous generations. Futaba 16IZ Futaba CGY-760R flybarless unit Headspeed 2000rpm VP 23.5% fuel
Great flight with an even Greater Pilot! Those figure 8s were AMAZING and the PoGo Piro flips reversing from left to right were Pheonominal and cant forget about the tumbling loop! You are my Idol!!!!!
Fantastic flight , always a pleasure to watch and with a 90 nitro heli , just perfect . Looks like another great model, might have to update my old nitro pro to one of these .
Would love to see a flybar version again for the old school folks amoung us. Peak heli imo was 700 nitro original version, flybar, hatori muffler, 30% fuel and spartan 760 on tail.
Those were some good times. I unfortunately do not have any old flyable 700Ns with flybars myself. Maybe I'll run across someone with one at a fun fly and try and make a flight video with it.
Impressive flight, as usual for a such skilled pilot, and very nice machine too. I hope some day Aling produce a real trainer heli, with low-cost parts. Some people say "you can set up low rates on a 550, put the weights far away in the flybar and get a kind of trainer" . I think that's like learning to fly an RC plane with a Pitts Special on low rates.
You can set the cycle speeds to be as slow as you want with any helicopter and give it that trainer feel. It's all in the programing of the flybarless gyro these days which really can give a much smother and locked in feel than the flybar did when adding weights and heavier blades/paddles
what is it about nitro helis even though electrics are more powerful theses days there's just something that seams more pleasing to the ear and eyes to watch a nitro heli great flying alan loving your work !
I really enjoy watching your video. Im reaching out to you because I knew Richard Szabo, and have a few helicopters that he built before he past. Im wondering if your interested.
