Hi !! It looks this setup stands well for playing this game, although this game is pretty dark by default I find the video too dark to appreciate details. Recently I have been offered by a friend to buy his Gaming PC and have a pretty similar setup (5600 [not X] and 6700 XT, B550M Plus, 32GB DDR4, liquid refrigeration, 850 W PS, 1 TB M2 gen 4 and Lian case) Do you think that PC would be able to play future games decently and do some video editing for a while? Is it a good buy for 600 € / $ or with Black Friday coming soon may I find a better and cheaper setup?? Thank you for the video and for taking your time if you answer me :)
Hello my friend, it's true, this part I recorded ended up being very dark (and look, I increased the brightness). This setup can run Alan Wake 2, just configure it to your preference. Now about this configuration to run future games, unfortunately the new games are coming poorly optimized for PC, new games with worse graphics than the old games and heavier than the old ones (a shame...) I believe it is still a good configuration and will run future games, it all depends on your resolution/graphics and fps requirements. The configuration your friend is selling is good, and the AM4 could still last a long time (since you can still upgrade to a 5800X3D or 5900x). But now regarding the price, I can't give an opinion because I don't know if it's cheap or expensive in your country. Now this Black Friday it would be good for you to analyze how much you would spend on a new kit with DDR5. Depending on the values I would opt for your friend's PC, which already has a good power supply and case, in the future if you felt a lack of performance you would have the option of upgrading the GPU and as I said above, 5800X3D and 5900x are processors that will last a long time time. I already bought the PC from my friend and got a MSI 27" curved monitor 2k 170 Hz with freesync for 189 € and a wall arm to be able to move and position it :) (I'm going to have this laptop and the new PC setup at the same time) . Really I'm hyped to get my setup working but had literally no time to get rid of this matter. Thank you a lot for your advice, and of course, I already subscribed and liked this video even before asking you the question :)
In terms of optimization this game sucks. Look at this mess : in Medium 1080p it gets 77 fps with FSR and then gets 70 fps at High 1080p with FSR? Is this a joke? Reducing from High to Medium shouldn't be affect that less considering that 7 fps.The devops of this game shouldn't ignore the game optimisation and have to make the game more optimised. Because they earn f****** money for this game 😡
RayTracing in ALAN WAKE 2 is completely unfeasible on AMD GPUs, it doesn't work well even on AMD's latest generations, let alone on the 6700 XT... that's why I ended up not even recording, unfortunately it's unplayable with RT.
@@fratredfield774 I understand... as far as I remember it didn't even reach 30fps with RT on and I ended up thinking it wasn't even worth recording, but thanks for the feedback
