2:04 Joking about how they enjoyed smashing car windows in the Stripped video: Dave: That was after like four months in the studio, so there was definitely a lot of tension there, within the band. Alan: I nearly went over Fletch's head, but I sort of restrained myself. OMFG 🤣🤣🤣
@@xyz.928 I always liked the chemistry Dave and Alan have together, I noticed that Alan wasn't as fond of Martin and Fletch like he was with Dave, I find it interesting that in some of the videos Alan and Dave would split in one group while Martin and Fletch would split in another, I also noticed that Dave and Fletch don't seem to be very close in their younger years.
I think he doesn't like the video of "Get the Balance Right" and neither do the other band members. The story goes that the director thought that Alan was the singer and thus presented him that way. Unfortunately, they were too shy to clear up the misunderstanding. So they ended up with this video that none of them liked.
Could someone please tell me what is happening between 9:54-10:06? I cannot make out everything which is said, is Dave reprimanding the interviewer for something?
upon finishing watching get the balance right video, alan says as a joke what is that video all about? then she says it's not bad at all, then dave asked her did you understand the concept of the video? it's pretty deep the she answered, I did I did, then dave said I'm sure everyone in Europe understood
Не надо бояться.Красив до невозможности он и дальше.В нем все:красота,стиль,осанка.А вот напарник вдавился в стул,бедняга.А ведь тоже молод до неприличия
@@heathers7265 On the inside, I assure you that there was nothing cute about what he was thinking. He generally thinks most journalists and interviewers are idiots who are wasting his time. He looks cute, though. They were both still so young, obviously.
I don't mean to be dissing on Alan but he does come across really snobby and snooty while being interviewed, I sometimes wonder who was the leader of the group between Martin or Fletch.
While Alan can be pretty personable and down to earth, at the same time, underneath that, he does kind of have high standards for people and things, and being an introvert, over time people can get on his nerves, especially if he thinks they're foolish gits. He'll show patience for a good while because he is classy, polite, and well-mannered, but if he's dealing with some sort of ninny and feels like it's a waste of his time, then he'll subtly betray what he's really thinking. It might be through getting really sarcastic, or even insulting the other person in a way he thinks they might not notice. I've seen it happen. So yeah, Alan is kind of stuck up, alright, but he's usually nice about it, and not a jerk. Personally, I don't have a problem with that. Just don't be a foolish git too much in his presence. By the way, Dave is extraverted and different from Alan, but I've seen him react to silly, stupid people in similar ways.
@@heathers7265 Alan is kind of quiet and seemingly shy, alright, but he's not a stereotypical "quiet, shy" kind of person on the inside. What I mean is that he's not a fwuffy wittle puppy dog kind of person, but more like cynical and brooding. 😄 And he's very sensible, intelligent, and respectable in most ways most of the time.
@@Doobie1975 Yeah, Martin is more introverted and "shy" in most respects than Alan is. His type of introversion is to be more private and less opinionated and confrontational. Legend has it that Fletch sometimes had to speak for Martin, and Fletch had no problem being vocally opinionated about everything, which got on Alan's nerves many times, especially since Fletch contributed nothing to their music directly.
@@Doobie1975take a look at THE interview of Alan ("Chitter and Chatter" - 1987) THEN he is pissed (and it's so damn good to watch 😂). It's like watching a car crash over and over again
