I love how she doesn't need anything but her voice to give this amazing performances. No make up, no fancy clothes, no lighting, no dancers, nothing, just her voice and the music... and even if this was a capella it would have been amazing
it takes a special kind of POS to throw something at a young girl singing her heart out in front of thousands of ppl...and an amazing girl to just continue giving an epic performance.
I say this with full confidence: for me she is one of the most beautiful women on Earth

@@Gaybraham.Lincoln Without discrediting current artists, but she is a vintage singer, an icon within music and I feel that she does not receive the value she really deserves. His lyrics are poetry, they give peace and light to the listeners. Today's artists are great, talented, unique, but Alanis is an angel on earth.
At 1:20, Alanis got hit by a plastic bottle. Then the line came, “How 'bout me enjoying the moment for once? How 'bout how good it feels to finally forgive you?” 😅 #loveher!
@Rabbi Ezrahiel Woolberg LOL, I'm talking about the singing, the voice, the song. Maybe you missed the part about her dodging the water bottles. Thanks for commenting though.
The way she moves on stage, the hand and arms gestures. You can tell how much she really feels this song, she’s always known to move in her very own unique way, but this song really does bring the emotions pouring out of her
This song!!! I hadn’t heard it in more than a decade. Then I walked into a store and heard it on the overhead. I was like, oh my God I remember this song and how much I loved it back in the day. I came to RU-vid after getting in my car and played it again. It took on a whole new meaning for me now because back when it was popular I was spiritually dead. Today, I “get” what she’s saying THANK U!! For EVERYTHING. It all works for our good WHEN we allow it to!!
Who's listening to Alanis in 2020 in the middle of a global pandemic and still thinks her music is absolutely kick ass? - Look, no phones .... just people living their best life in the moment!
Wooow...she is such a great singer. Not to mencionate a great composer and a talented musician. She is everything, that the modern singers are not. Her music, it´s inmortal.
wxwarrior76 She DEF is,,1 of a kind! Rare Breed , Indeed! So Talented! Her own INDIVIDUAL style! Killah voice! I 💙 Alanis! This is my FAV, Alanis jam 4sure!!✌✌
@@stevesleg never thought of that. Great observation. And yes, a beautiful soul. I literally am a better person because of her. Sounds sappy, but she’s been a hugely positive influence in my life.
As a woman she always seemed like someone you'd settle for, and for youngsters that ain't enough for social validation. I find her attractive now, though, 20 years later
@@gc8972b she came out while I was just getting into high school. I dated women, through college age, trying to be with one that looked close to Alanis. She was perfect femininity to me. Beautiful face, thin with just enough curve, voice of a goddess, kick-*** music, a little bit of hot chick rage and a measure of sweetness. She was just the coolest chick ever, and I was very taken in by her. I tried to find her in the women I would date. I never let that on. I had the fortune of being really good looking and confident. I had my pick of pretty much any woman I wanted in high school and into college before I married. And I used that advantage to get with women who reminded me of her. I started pursuing this one woman in college. I asked a buddy what he thought of her. He said, “she’s alright I guess. Basically reminds me of Alanis morissette.” That confirmed it for me and I got with her. Looking back that was a very immature and selfish way to date. Ridiculous. It’s crazy how poisoned I am by her. Just watching this video means I will have a hard time sleeping thinking about her. If I hypothetically ever began a relationship with her, she could only let me down, since I hold her in such high regard. Simp level a thousand.
She is such a rare talent. Her voice has a unique sound. Alanis is the GREATEST female vocalist of the 90’s. Alanis and Stevie Nicks are the two greatest female vocalists EVER in my opinion.
Skullivan Franklin why the comparison?? Take both as strong and individuals with their own separate fans. Gwen is far more of an extrovert, loves her fashion and is a great businesswoman but is more pop. Alanis is about lyric and music, never really seem to care about fame and fortune. That’s what makes her so unique.
Brings back memories of simplier times. People were talking to each other and did not care for synthetical likes. They lived the moment and were just happy to be alive. The 90s were a festival of life. We captured moments with our hearts. *Thanks to you Alanis!* 😘🍁❤
The bridges between keyboard theme and chorus are some of the highlights of the arrangement. What a band, what a song, what a rich, powerful, delicate performance.
I'm trying to feel the rush that beautiful songstress and poetess felt when there was a quiet breath in her voice and the instruments as that mass of people focusing their combined attention and appreciation waited quietly for her to belt out the next line in her song in perfect pitch. She's unparalleled in her work and created her own genre. Absolutely love Alanis.
