Yep. Not like todays studio manufactured plastic stars who can’t sing worth a damn and would die without auto tune I miss this time … wish I could time travel ❤
The older I get the more profound and relevant the lyrics become. When you’re young you hear the music, when you get older you hear the words. Thank you!
Unless you listen to them from the start im 27 in November and I chose songs for the lyrics just the backing sound the lyrics are the heart and soul of thr song with out them they're not that differant from any other songs
Wife and I see her at an outdoor amphitheatre this Friday night..... I remember hearing her songs in the 90s. It also impresses me that her voice is almost exactly the same.
One of the few artists of our time that sounds even better live than in a studio. A sign of true and pure talent. Love this woman’s music and especially this song!
How 'bout getting off of these antibiotics? How 'bout stopping eating when I'm full up? How 'bout them transparent dangling carrots? How 'bout that ever elusive kudo? Thank you India Thank you terror Thank you disillusionment Thank you frailty Thank you consequence Thank you thank you silence How 'bout me not blaming you for everything? How 'bout me enjoying the moment for once? How 'bout how good it feels to finally forgive you? How 'bout grieving it all one at a time? Thank you India Thank you terror Thank you disillusionment Thank you frailty Thank you consequence Thank you thank you silence The moment I let go of it was the moment I got more than I could handle The moment I jumped off of it Was the moment I touched down How 'bout no longer being masochistic? How 'bout remembering your divinity? How 'bout unabashedly bawling your eyes out? How 'bout not equating death with stopping? Thank you India Thank you providence Thank you disillusionment Thank you nothingness Thank you clarity Thank you, thank you silence Yeah, yeah Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Source: LyricFind
Your smile, your happy eyes, your positive energy, your magical music, your cosmic voice, your sensibility, your female determination, your notes filling any empty spaces, my lovely alanis, the one and only company everywhere and everytime,, i miss you so much.
I just cannot stop listening to this song and cannot stop watching Alanis perform. She is such a wonderful personality. I'm a drummer myself and this songs beat just resonates with my soul. I love Gary's style of playing. Love you Alanis. Thank you for this song.
Obviously she has LOTS of great songs....but imo, this is THE best song she ever made. It's so pure....and honest. And not just lyrically. Musically it's SO interesting to me. Real simple...just the basic 1, 4, and 5 chord. That's it. But it ends up transcendent sounding. One of those super rare 100% perfect pop songs that just works on every single level.
Simply amazing! Alanis I’m so sorry I forgot about you for I don’t know how long. I don’t know how that happened.I’m back for good now. Your voice makes me feel something I can’t explain. It brings back memories of a simpler time in life. Today the world is so different and listening to you makes me forget about everything. You’re so damn beautiful! 80’s and 90’s rule.
Crazy special voice!!!!! So much talent. Whomever said let's use the organs was sharp. I would liked to have seen that song come together in the studio. I bet some people were just besides themselves????
Just watched a documentary about Alanis and ‘Jagged little pill’ and I have to say, I didn’t think I would like it as much as I did. I was a mere 10 when Alanis really came into the scene. But man what a time to be alive for music ✌🏻
I was 11/12 when I first heard her album with my best friend. I didn't understand it all at that age but I loved her sound....and til this day it's an album I can listen to everyday.
Her mind is beyond genius...she is really looking into the future with accolade and caution to the truth and undertones of getting to the real core values. She is 20 years ahead.
I’ve been a fan since day one…I’m older then you all but I KNEW this woman had a massage… There are those with the true talent that chose to make a difference, she is definitely one. 💜
Heres an old school comment for you... working at a house doing a fitting wardrobe back in the 90s and had a cassette player with us in the house on the job and this came on the radio and I shot out the house to the van to grab a tape and recorded this! How times have changed 😉😉😉
So I just went in the store and heard this on the overhead. I was tripping because I said oh my God I have not heard this song in forever! Came on RU-vid to blast it through my car speaker when I found the live version it put me over the top!! Back when this song came out, I was not spiritually enlightened but today I am and so this song takes on an entirely different meaning now!!
The intent to make the world a better place had an incredible voice that day...but it was truly a team effort out there on the ice ;-) Should be the morning wakeup song for every world leader...every day. Peace and love all!!
I'm neither a fatalist nor a pessimist, but the truth is truth: There will never be another age nor talent like this. Thank U Alanis....we are indebted.
what you are or are you not, did not realy any matter. But if you want your words to be real and true forever, be clever! in the eternal becoming of time and space and all that beings together, who would seriously want to claim that there would ever be something like never. ;)
@-Steve - How about you stop abusing yours. overcome the bad vibes of your dissatisfaction with yourself and try to face the world with empathy instead of antipathy? Not primarily to spare us your moods, but rather to yourself. I have no need for meds. Body, mind and psyche could hardly be healthier and more stable ... than it would be possible for your self-image and worldview to this day. But if you really want, you can too. Good luck and thank you for your concern for me and my meds!
@@kalikula2935 Thank U! But I´m only one who tries to recognize opposites and extremes each other as mutually dependent and again to separate them unnecessarily. To be a WiseMan i probably should stay quite and should not give komments at all. ;)
One of the most outstanding female artists ever to come on the scene starts her performance by saying "God bless each". Now that's a woman I'd like to meet. This song is one of a kind, that goes without saying!
Dude, Jagged Little Pill is in the top 20 best selling albums OF ALL TIME. And she’s won 7 Grammy’s, including Album of the Year. She’s a household name and has influenced many artists since the 90s. She’s not underrated 😂
@@davidmellish3295 I was wrong with the decade but my statement still stands. When she was at her peak of popularity I really didn’t appreciate her talent but I can now..
This song came out when I was a teenager an never really thought much of it. But now as a adult, wow she can truely sing. Love how she can just shout it out.
Made my day in corona lockdown here in Germany.... soon to break out. I would take my 2 kids (10,12) to her concert in heartbeat... as they have Hit Coldplay, Two Cellos, And Pink... you Rock Alanis.
