it's not 12k. there's nothing available yet that can film above 8k. And it could be 1,000,000,000,000K but it still wouldn't matter because what YOUR monitor's resolution is, is the highest resolution you can see. Make sense? And most people aren't good enough with their eyes to tell the difference between 4k and 8k. Also, if you click the little gear at the bottom right of the video, a menu will pop up. Click 'Quality' and RU-vid lists the available resolution and less often, available frame rates, abbreviated and put at the end of the resolution and is almost always 30fps or, almost always, 60fps, so they just put 60 at the end of the resolution like this for a 1080 resolution: 1080p60 , which is where 'high definition' officially starts. If you notice, 4320p60 (8K) is the highest available resolution. That is because anything above that is just a waste for the average consumer who can tell higher definition than that. There is nothing available to film 12K...yet....but higher numbers equal more views for people who put up misleading titles, animations, information, or clips. RU-vid Science Scammers Being Sued is a good video to get a grasp on the situation and how it's lazy LIARS AND DECEIVERS tricking you into giving them your clicks. I highly recommend this video into the deception on RU-vid becoming more and more rampant from seemingly benign things like this, such as lying about video being in such a high resolution that RU-vid themselves says their servers don't have the right HARDWARE for anything above 8K, as well as you being able to see for yourself you cannot choose anything higher than 8k. And not that it would matter: if you have a 1080p resolution monitor, that's the absolute highest you can see on it, it will degrade, or ruin, the resolution until it's roughened up and ugly enough for the standard your monitor or television can run. I say ugly it up, because that is literally what it's doing, dropping TONS of the resolution, but it still results in a good picture if it was natively filmed in a resolution at least as good as your monitor. Hope this made sense and I hope you know this channel owner has several more like it along with content that might be bought stock footage and he's probably never been to Alaska (I lived there for 3 years btw, it really is beautiful but the long nights in winter were just too much- the cold you get used to pretty quick, like a couple weeks). He does not live in the United States. He is simply reposting other stock scenic footage, all to get click and subscriptions to get advertising money by standing out so you click his channel's scenic videos instead of another channel's identical videos. But now to get your attention and clicks?
