ALL TOO FAMILIAR, UGH. The wife and I just drove back to mid eastern Ohio from Rapid City . . . and made sure to avoid Chicago . . . AND . . . INDIANAPOLIS!! We've done the Alaska trip several times, and once on our RGU.
My hotel is right at 65 and I am not going back into that mess. I am going south and then over to 74 around Cincinnati and into Athens on 50...I think.
@@LivingOffTheSlab I know right where you're at. Be ready for heavy traffic around Cinci too. It's Friday and it can be a mess down there. I'm currently in Toledo working but heading home later today. Caught a Mud Hens game last night, great fun. Athens is a beautiful area. I'm sure you've heard of Ohio's Windy 9. Wish we could somehow get together but sounds like our schedules aren't going to align. If I could give you a nugget of advice, try and get through Cincinnati before 2 or 3 today. There's something called the Ohio Navy, many of us that go to the big lakes in KY & TN (Norris, Cumberland & Dale Hollow) that can jamb up Cinci. The Brent Spence Bridge crossing the OH river is the main thoroughfare going down I-75. Cinci is very cool, and you'll enjoy the view. Be safe my friend, enjoy the great state of OH!
