Ha! Exciting and delaying😂 we teased Steve since he was going last that we were putting all our questionable items in his van 🚐. All in all it was a very smooth crossing even with Steve being searched. Steve is retired military so the conversation turned military since the crossing guards also had military experience. Within 15 minutes all four of us were across!

First off, that cave is amazing. Second, we are shaking our heads that your income hasn't increased with double the views. Especially knowing the work you guys put into all this. Ours isn't budging much either. Lastly, crossing borders in other countries makes us nervous too, but the American borders are by far the most stressful. Liz has carried a knife through metal detectors and 4 border crossings here in Asia with no issue. Not that you can't bring one to Canada, but it just feels weird going through a metal detector and nobody says a word about it. 😂 oh, and one more lastly... HBD Roodle Doodle! 🎂 🐾

Happy birthday sweet boy!!! We are heading to Alaska this month too! We are traveling with my friend’s dog and found out that the cdc has new guidelines on getting her “back into the US” (the change is effective Aug 1st). We had to have paperwork completed by her vet … and submitted directly to the cdc with entry and exit dates. Getting the dog into Canada is easy (for the most part) … it’s getting her back to the US when we return in September … that requires CDC paperwork. You may want to go over to the CDC site to see what’s involved. Enjoy your trip ! And travel safe!!

It remains to be seen if it is the correct microchip that will comply. He also had a vet check with a certificate of good health before we entered. I asked the vet about the new regulations ….they had no idea, granted it had just came out the day before. We shall see😃. Interesting that your vet submitted paperwork to the cdc🤷‍♀️

@@oneadVANtureatatime ok good… I’m glad that you’re keeping an eye on it. 😉When we pulled up the paperwork it needed some completion from the vet in her home state…. Which needed to be submitted directly to the cdc (for a fee of course). But we also have an appointment with a vet in Montana … for the medical check. Both of these vets are working on the documentation that is needed for Polly (the dog that is with us). We aren’t concerned about going to Canada … that should work out fine. But coming back into the states after Aug 1st (when it’s effective) might be an issue if we didn’t dot our i’s and cross our t’s! It is very muddy! We did recently find something about an exemption period until after 2025 but we aren’t sure what’s involved with that. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that it all goes well… when you return ☺️. +@lindasteller I will never switch to YT Memberships. I learned that I do not want all my eggs in one basket when our channel was hacked. RU-vid is not user friendly… meaning you rarely get to speak to a person! Basically you are guilty until you appeal and jump through all their hoops to prove your innocence! Very frustrating and time consuming. We’ve had videos falsely accused of violating community guidelines…. We were later cleared but all the revenue was gone! With Patreon, even if something was to happen to our channel I could still get videos out to patrons without RU-vid. Patreon is separate from RU-vid. I’m sure RU-vid makes money off of memberships so I’m not surprised they are promoting that route. RU-vid also takes 30-40% from all super chats. There is currently a big lawsuit pending with creators and RU-vid about the pay structure, I’m awaiting the verdict on that.
