You asked & I answered! Welcome to my sit-down "tell all" of what I wish I would have packed for my 7-Night Alaska Cruise onboard the Radiance of the Seas! Let's talk about how unprepared I was for Alaska 50's as well as what I think I did well on packing that you may not think about. Please note that I went on my Alaska Cruise in mid-May, so weather could be very similar or very different depending on the time of year you are going on your cruise! & at the end of the day, it is all personal preference - but I do hope this video at least helps you out when considering what to pack for your cruise!

hey gracie! i live in juneau, and it’s safe to say our weather doesn’t always warm up as summer progresses! we are in the heart of a rainforest, so the only weather we are guaranteed is rain. last year june was 80° and sunny all month and july was 50’s and rainy! my biggest packing tip to anyone travailing to Southeast Alaska by cruise, is to pack everything! A little bit of T-shirts a little bit of layers, shorts, etc. The weather app is constantly changing :)

I went on a cruise to Alaska on Carnival and the inside was warm but our ship was old too. The vibe was not there and it was a very relaxing trip compared to a party one that I’m used to. I wouldn’t do the Alaska cruise again but I will continue to cruise to sunny upbeat destinations.

Great video. was having a debate between regular leggings and Lined leggings will definitely be both lol. We go in September so a warm puffer is coming to. Along with wool socks.

I usually get stuck under the air conditioning vent, so I always plan an outfit with a shawl, wrap or thin cardigan.

I definitely want to do an Alaska cruise, but (like you) it’s not high on my bucket list either. I’d love to do it twice, like one on a small ship and one on a big ship. I think it would be cool to do a cruise tour like what Princess offers for most of their destination Cruises. I definitely want to do the Panama Canal again and go on a big ship! It would definitely be more fun than being in a small ship again lol.

I'm lauging because I went to Alaska in March 2017 & 2020. Our reaction was that an Alaska 25 is warmer than an Ohio 25.

Forget the cruise. You're missing the real Alaska - the wilderness in the middle of absolute isolation from humanity. Take a drive along the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay. The wildest adventure of life. Conquered it in 2019 after I conquered the similar Dempster Highway in Canada.
