Alaska Fishing Homer Spit: Pollock and Sole

Today we fished the Homer Spit next to the Lands End hotel. We fished a three-way rig using a Thundermist T-turn swivel connected to a 2oz sinker and a beads and blade flatfish rig. Bait was Eulachon and Pollock cut-bait. We caught numerous pollock and sole and also saw cod and a halibut caught. Good luck fishing!

My wife caught Irish Lord after Irish Lord. By the pickings. I caught pollock after pollock! Go figure!

This was a month and a half ago. We just went down last weekend and it was still good fishing.

didnt mean to sound rude except pollock and sole taste great I just wouldn't want to eat them there sorry for me sounding rude because of how much wormed there are

From our experience the pollock were very wormy. About the same as a large halibut belly. The sole were a heck of a lot cleaner. It's all relative though, we've moved down to california now and all of our rockfish are wormy haha. Once again, thanks for the info

why the he'll word you keep fish from there the canary dumps there fish waste there and those pollock have so many worms all fish have worms except there gonna be especially wormy there cuz there eating fish waste
