This is a great achievement. I was planing to go to Alaska 2023 but they stole my bike. This year 2024 if everything goes well, I am heading up there in the middle of June.
I recon I'd head for the hot springs after that icy Artic ocean too! Congratulations on a fantastic series it really has been a Joy (and Larry) to watch and follow along and it's not over yet it seems!
Sure wish I could have gone with, but life has had different plans for me, and I don’t think the Harley would have made it without a tanker truck in tow!
The views along the Dalton Hwy are stunning!! We were surprised at all the pavement as well. Most of it was in pretty bad shape except the last 50 miles. There are a lot of areas of loose gravel on the pavement and we met one rider that went down because of it.
Congratulations on your achievement. A long trip and plenty of unknowns to negotiate along the way but you handled them with aplomb. Looking forward to your "Alaska debrief" video that you've mentioned doing.
Congrats on your epic adventure. Would you do it again? I've been to Alaska but don't have a desire to ride up there with all the iffy weather, bad roads and mosquito's...
