Some of the Alaskiters flew south following the Kenai Kite Festival to fly at the Lincoln City Kite Festival. Kirk and Beth supplied the pictures from the weekend
Enjoyed seeing the kites at Sunset time. Great photos. Finally getting weather on the Oregon & Washington Coast to fly kites in. It' been too windy or too rainy. Congrats in getting one of those nice, sunny weekends at Lincoln City. It was worth your while traveling from Alaska.
Looked like a good turn-out, Tim. I hope things have warmed up enough for you to have some regular flies nearer home over the next few months, and I'll look forward to the videos.
Oh it's warmed up! Summer has arrived and with it the heat. Red flag warnings everywhere so campfires are out for the time being. The down side is with it, warmer fewer days of good winds unless a storm heads or way but the crew has something that will fly regardless of the wind. I'm dealing with some health issues so haven't been doing much flying (Kenai Kite Festival video is pending) but the Alaskiters crew gets me pictures and video so while I'm not flying that much this summer I can fly vicariously till I get healthier.
