Okay, so I can agree with some of your theory; it's pretty solid, but it has some major flaws. My personal theory, based on everything that happened, is as follows: Let's start from the beginning. Lilith and Lucifer's relationship: We don't have clear insights on that matter, but I don't think it's as bad as everyone thinks. From the scene with Lucifer and Charlie in the past when Lilith is taking her, it's probably just a scene where a mother is putting her child to bed. She didn't grab her by force and in a hurry; she was gently taking her from a fatigued father who is probably sad about another lost argument with angels, which this time led to executions. Every photo of their family is a happy photo; we don't see any grimaces or false smiles, only lively photos capturing moments of their life together. You could argue that a family only looks good in photos, but don't forget about the first scene from the first episode when Charlie is reading a book with a story of Luci and Lilith's first meeting, where she said that her mother was always reading it to her before she left. That's not the story that a mother would tell her daughter again and again if there was something bad between her and the father. So, executions happened, and as Charlie said, her father let it happen. I think the decision about this event was the last time Lucifer fought for his dreams and fell into depression. Lilith probably wanted to deal with this situation because of Lucifer and Charlie, who were also threatened by execution. She made a plan and found a lone overlord who had just lost his battle with Vox (we know that Alastor "almost got him," and then he just disappeared) and she made a deal to keep her daughter safe and help her with her ambition, and in return, she would save him from his demise. After that, as someone that probably Heaven was also afraid of, she came to Adam (because she knew that he would try to harm her loved ones) to make a deal. She would return to heaven to be supervised and not rise against hell, and Adam would keep his hands off her family. The deal with Charlie is probably a final getaway from this situation. And as he said, he doesn't ask for anything that will do any harm to others; he will simply make Charlie end his deal with Lilith.

Yes! this is almost the same theory i had only i thought Alastor tried to take over hell by fighting Lilith but got overwhelmed so she spared Alastor in return for doing her a favor of helping out Charlie but the Vox theory would tie things together much more neatly. The other theories always mention how Alastor was sent to make the hotel fail but that has always bothered me because as far as i can tell we see Alastor actually make things better. He made a commercial with a whole camera crew and costumes, closed a massive hole in the wall with his minions, sent his own dear friend of his away knowing they would only cause more problems in the hotel (Mimzy), and ofcourse, staffed the hotel to begin with. Even in the last episode with the big fight he literally shields the entire hotel from the attacking angels.

My only problem with the idea of Alastair being there to sabotage the hotel is that he is doing a pretty terrible job at that. Throughout the entire season there isn’t a moment where he goes against the hotel in a major way and on several occasions he makes the difference between the hotel succeeding and failing.
@burnedoutgraduatestudent4482

Exactly. That’s why I think the theory that he was actually sent there to PROTECT the hotel, and is kind of forced to use his powers for that makes more sense.

Well if he's on Liliths leash and let's say that going against her family is keeping her in heaven. And alastor wants to break free, he could be sabotaging his deal with lilith in hopes of breaking their deal and getting out
@rhyno39

Here's a way to look at it: at the beginning of the first episode, he was told to make a commercial for the hotel on tv. He didn't like to do that, so he "had some fun with it." I think applying the same logic for his actions regarding the entire hotel makes a good amount of sense. He doesn't actually want the hotel to succeed, obviously, but he's finding ways to get his kicks out of it

I think that Al was sent there to protect Charlie and the hotel, as well as stirr up shit with Lucifer and make him jealous. I also don‘t think that Lilith made the deal with Adam to get to heaven, but she‘s playing both sides. Her part of the deal was to leave Hell so her people would no longer be motivated by her. So, she sent Alastor with exact instructions on how to draw Lucifer out of his emotional numbing, and that would be via Charlie. We‘ll have to see how Lilith will react to her new task of preventing Charlie from succeeding. If she really does that, I wonder what her initial plan even was. If it was keeping her family safe until they are both prepared to take on Adam‘s army - well, that happened. She really has no reason to remain in Heaven, and from the way she looked at Lute, she was clearly annoyed. It would be a great twist if S2 took up on this exact moment on the beach and Lilith just smirked and told Lute „Why would I want to stay here, I‘ve accomplished my plans“ and vanished back to Hell.

@@burnedoutgraduatestudent4482 my thought is he was sent there to not exactly protect or sabotage it but more to make sure Charlie is safe and to make sure the hotel doesn't get too out of hand one way or the other.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into this, but a funny detail is how Alastor mentions to Zestial that he took a well earned "sabbatical" leave - sabbatical can mean paid leave for study or travel, traditionally one year for every SEVEN YEARS worked - or it can just relate to the sabbath, a day of abstinence within Jewish religion Perhaps he was forced to lay low and stop attacking overlords until Charlie requested Lilith's help to which Alastor had to acquiesce (appearing right after Charlie calls Lilith in the pilot) I also do feel like he can't actually harm anyone unless it's for Charlie/the hotel, which is why he says "it feels good to finally blow off some steam again" after solving Mimzy's loanshark problem This is odd because he erased overlords left and right before he vanished, why couldn't he just let his power's run wild whenever he pleased? It's like he was completely unable to do anything until the point Charlie needed help He also turned down Rosie's hint towards a new desperate demon who would be easy to sway into a deal (whoever that even is) - which, why would he not want to acquire more power unless he's unable to harm/take souls, other than he's restricted to only harm for Charlie's sake This may also explain why he was visibly on edge when he met Zestial on the way to the overlord meeting (though this could also just show how powerful Zestial is and not much more else) It would make sense why he would want to "remind" people not to mess with the Radio Demon because no-one should come to believe he's unable to injure anyone if he's attacked outside of the hotel; he's told Charlie before that just because someone is smiling doesn't mean there's not more to it - his character is about hiding his weakness, with a smile and with appearance Ironically, in this way, he is very similar to his rival Vox ...which makes me wonder whether we'd see this fatal weakness revealed now that the Vees are more confident There's also clearly something going to happen with Niffty and the Vees (Niffty has already met Valentino and Vox seems to be planning something by how he grinned at the news when Niffty showed up) ...though it seems Niffty's contract doesn't allow her to talk when filmed (she always goes completely still, could just be a gag, but could also be Alastor making sure she isn't "invaturated" by a certain "bad boy" coincidentally having a technical device as a head - it could mean that when Vox may try to recruit her, she may actually just creepily stare at Vox instead of doing anything, which... would be funny (or she's ordered to attack him on sight and therefore reacts weirdly around cameras, who knows))

@Iquey
@Iquey 7 месяцев назад
I was getting ready this morning and thinking about Alastor's relationship to his deal and his power/timeline. I am thinking Alastor when he arrived in hell and started taking down overlords in his early days, maybe he made a first deal with Roo/Root of all evil. Because of his voodoo background, i think he wanted power in hell to survive the harsh environment, and Roo came to him presenting herself as a powerful Orisha, which granted Alastor some extra powers like shadow teleportation and feeding overlords screams to his radio broadcast. At some point as his power was growing, Vox and him became friends, having similar powers and dark sense of enertainment industry humor, but Roo didn't like that Alastor was getting too big for his britches, and Vox and Alastor have some kind of falling out..maybe Alastor violated some terms of his first contract with Roo, and she reduced his powers while he was in the midst of a fight with Vox and the early V's conglomerate team Val and Velvette, causing Alastor to nearly die and having to disappear into obscurity for 7 years. At another ppoint after this, maybe Lilith offers to restore his steegth and abilities in exchange for what she wants, or how she wants him to look after Charlie and her hotel project or just make sure Charlie isn't harmed because Lilith might've not believed in depressed Lucifer's ability ro keep her safe from heaven's ruthlessness. But maybe her deal with Adam was to be able to live in heaven if exterminations of hell's surplus sinners could be done yearly. So Lilith might only care about helping Charlie stay alive, and if a few sinners die to keep Charlie and herself safe, that was a good enough trade to her.
@Atipaj
@Atipaj 7 месяцев назад
You theory actually makes sense and thus far, it is most likely/logical scenerio. i don't really see any other way why Lilith would abandon her position in hell and her family unless she wanted to get back into Heaven. i'd imagine she would be resentful for being banished to Hell and was thriving in hell just so she can get back in. But once adam made her this 'offer she couldn't refuse', she really didn't have a choice. she would get the best of both worlds; she could get a ticket back to heaven, in exchange for abandoning her 'revolutionary' guest, AND neither Lucifer or Charlie would get hurt during the extermination. She really didn't have a choice. If she didn't take the offer, then not only would her only chance to get back to heaven be lost, but also Charlier and Lucifer, including herself would get hurt or be killed in the process.

I think we will get alot more or know once the second season comes around. Theres a theory i have seen that Lilith isnt in heaven but its eve pretending to be lilith. Alastor might be turning good is highly likely and he will either turn good and be redeemed showing anyone can be redeemed or he wont showing not everyone can be redeemed. Alastor never directly attacks anyone in the show he defends himself and has shown a likeness for "weak things" . Him killing the overlords might have been defensive as well but people viewed it as him hunting them when really they were hunting down this new hotshot who doesn't like others talking down to him. Theres also the possibility its not a demon but an angel who has control over alastor maybe another dreamer who believes in Charlie. Seras reaction being shocked but vauge enough to where she could go either way. Trap kill or embrace sir pentious. Her realizing all the suffer she caused to "sinners" who could have been saved her make her start spiraling into chaos and fall. I think eve(lilith) or sera being season two main villain is highly likely.

This is a very good theory. It explains everything about this show, and not only why Alistair is there, also why he is turning a new leaf. I think your right except for one or two details. I think Alastor came to the hotel because he saw how naive Charlie was and he thought he could exploit her to possibly get out of his deal with Lilith and potentially seize the throne. Which is made even more evident when he talks about how he could “guide” her in the song Ready For This.

I think Alastors initial deal with Lilith was for power in exchange for Alistor helping Lilith down the line. And when Alistor and Lilith went missing, Lilith went to heaven to make a deal with Adam to start the exterminations of sinners, not hell-born, to prevent an "imminent uprising", spurring Adam to talk to Seriphim, and what Lilith knew her daughter would do to try to save the souls of the sinners. She'd been in hell since the beginning, so she must've seen at least one soul get redeemed. When Charlie announced her hotel, she instructed Alastor to help her in any capacity she needs. That's why Alastor is so keen on making a deal with Charlie, not for her soul, but for a favor. He wants her help to finally break his contract with Lilith, Lilith wants to upturn heaven with an influx of saved souls, making them question the legitimacy of who qualifies for heaven, and whether "hell is forever" is really even true if souls can be redeemed. It makes sense that the exterminations got scheduled to be every six months rather than every year only a week after Alastor comes to help out the hotel. Its Liliths way of lighting a fire under Charlie. She knows her daughter well, so she knows the impossible tends to happen when she's put under pressure.

It is very possible that Alastor doesn't have a plan with Charlies deal. Any IOU from Charlie is very powerful in potentiality, one doesn't need to know right away what to do with it. And Sera coudn't keep secret the fact that demons can be redeemed from Em since they both were there... Adam was killed with an Angelic weapon, I don't think anybody killed with such weapon can come back...

I wounder if there is beef between Lilith and Luc. If Lilith contracted Alistor to help with the hotel and try to cut out Luc then that would explain their beef and the fact that they seem like redundant characters (Luc being a better version of Alistor of course). It was apparent that Lilith did not want Charlie around Luc and maybe to prevent him from filling her with dilutions on grandeur? Oh he also states that he is looking for a way to clip his wings. I thought is that angels have wings but he is definitely no angel. So that must mean he is speaking metaphorically. After all, he has been “as faithful as a nun since day one”. Therefore, I believe he is in a contract with Lilith after picking a fight with her 7 years ago and getting destroyed. In the deal he was to act as Charlie’s Gaurdian Angel. Thus, by clipping his wings he would no longer have to do things she wants. Lastly, his deal could force her to stay silent about something she wants to warn someone about or stay out of a conflict she would get involved in. Hell, he could probably force her into agreeing to another deal that could be anything. 😬

Even though I don’t agree with the the second theory about Alastor, I think you bring up a very interesting first theory about lillith’s deal with Adam and it explains a lot in the show- why Lute said “the deal is off” and demanded her to go back to hell now that Adam is dead, and it explains why she was in heaven getting a tan and why she’s been gone for 7 years… she betrayed everyone to go to heaven.

not really in 6:00 Alastor said that he was "Altruist" because he almost died for his "friends" and that is because in your theory, forced by his deal by Lilith to stay at the hotel. He’s saying it was amusing to see Charlie fail, but he wants to break out of the deal in some sort of way so that he doesn’t risk his life again just to watch over Charlie.

Quick Theory!!☝🏼 What if Eve and Alistor made a deal. She is not in heaven because she took the appel from Lucifer and sinned with that. She could make the deal to get back at Lucifer for giving her it and dooming her with that. She could use Alistor to take Revenge and for him to get into Lucifer's place. Alistor want's Power. And like in his scene with "pulling all the trings" perhaps rule over hell. What if that is the reason he does not like Lucifer because he is in the place he want's. And also that could be the reason why he want's to guide Charlie and her Powers like he said in Episode 7. If Lucifer takes a step back from ruling it would be Charlie and that is why Alistor want's to take the place as a friend of her and manipulate her. Charlie would rule but alistor would be the Shadow and "pull the strings". It reminds me of the show House of the Dragon we're the character Otto Hightower is the Hand of King Viserys. Otto manipulates him also like Alistor could want to do it with Charlie ones she is the ruler of hell

a bit of a long text i am sorry about the mess that lies ahead. good vid though^^ keep it up! now i may be rather late to the party. however i believe there is a moment in the video where you have better evidence to support alastor beginning to care. in your video you bring up the "joyfull collective" quote which is not bad. however this was something he spoke of in company, and with alastors "smile" lesson, i would personally find it hard to believe he would actualy say what was on his mind. especially since he refuses to comment on how he feels about it even later on. however i do believe you could have reinforced this statement. Maggy is a bit of a "reference" Character however we do learn that it is genuinely someone alastor either has respect for or is on good terms with. Both through what she says, our beloved bartender and himself seem to be on the same page there. this means that him telling her to go away and only come back if she is serious about rehabilitation is a surprising turn. one would think he would keep her around if the initial "keep sinners sinning" theory was to be believed. as well as it being a monotone scene. no jokes from alastor, sass or disturbing imagery. if there is a moment, to call out with alastor potentialy leaking his true self i feel this would be the one. He also returns in silence, letting charlie and lucifer have a moment that the alastor earlier in the vid would have "fought" hard to stop.

I think you're a bit wrong. Imho the plot is he made a deal (not so sure if it's lilith btw) to help charlie. Helping her has nearly ended him and THAT is why he wants out. This came way too close for him. One more detail, imho him smiling constantly is a part of that deal as well. He just learned how to play with that and make it part of his demeanor. Plus i dont think there is anything directly suggesting he made his deal during those 7 years of absence. His character has a strong resemblance to Dr Facilier (voiced by Keith David who "coincidentally" also voices Husk). The living shadow, the voodoo magic... and who did facilier made a deal with? Yeah, another hint imho.

As much as I would like Alastor to care about Charlie and the others, unwillingly wishing them well, I don't think that's the case. I think that selling your soul to a demon, regardless of whether he leaves you alone or not, has a profound impact on the psyche. That the weight of the pact gradually crushes the contracting party and that the bigger the deal, the heavier the weight. This weight would be the absence of freedom. Even if the demon with the upper hand lets the other demon live its demonic life in peace, the fact that the soul is sold has consequences. Alastor has a fragile ego, hates not being in control, and probably demanded greater power from other sinners and demons. He's intelligent but also arrogant, so while he probably paid close attention to the terms of the contract he certainly did so by underestimating the other demon. In doing so, he condemned himself and realized too late the impact it would have on him as well as having discussed all the little lines, he has no loopholes. So he decided to exploit every little bit of control he has. Perhaps his involvement with Charlie is linked to the pact in the way you described. Maybe he joined the hotel because he saw Charlie as his exit ticket. The city of cannibals fought behind her and it is to Rosie but especially to Alastor that she owes it. She fought effectively against Addam and showed signs of improvement by the end of the fight. Lucifer, the most powerful being in hell, spared Adam at the simple request of his beloved daughter. She stopped the extermination. Charlie has proven to be a rising powerhouse, whether in raw power or influence. He said it himself with Rosie: “sticking with Charlie means being on the winning side”. If Charlie becomes a losing card, he will have no hesitation. He is capable of feeling respect and even affection. We see this several times, notably with Niffty, who he lets climb on top of him to put on his cockroach crown and finds it amusing. I guess she made a pact with him and since she's happy with her situation and crazy, she was nicer company than Husk and amused the Radio Demon enough for him to develop a tender point for her. But not Charlie. I see his attempts at rapprochement and his demonstrations of good will as an attempt at manipulation. Alastor seems to have been chomping at the bit for a long time. He clearly thought he would get away with facing Adam. But he almost got killed. Charlie lasted much longer. Lucifer completely humiliated Adam. It was a big shock for him. It reminded him that if he was a big boss, there was a gigantic level gap between him and the big bosses. And that he almost died enslaved. It's going to be ugly.

Great theory, though I'd argue that only Earthborn souls can be reborn in either Heaven or Hell. A Heaven or Hell born soul cannot. So the idea of Sera falling and going through the redemption process wouldn't work. That being said, I 100% expect Adam to come back as a Sinner Demon. He may be a powerful angel, but he is still an Earthborn soul, subject to eternal judgement upon death. Just as Sir Pentious was reborn in Heaven for cleansing his soul of sin, Adam should be reborn in Hell for the many sins weighing down his soul.

I do have to point this out it is impossible for Adam to come back. The reason why I say that is because he was killed with an angelic weapon. And it is found that in the lore of this show that if you're killed by angelic steel you are gone wiped from existence. The only reason why serpentius was able to manifest in heaven was because he was not killed by angelic steel but by Adams Ray of Doom light.

So...why'd Sera go to Adam of all people? Like, I imagine most of his... Adam ness was more recent 'relatively' speaking, but still. Not Michael? Not Uriel? not Death? but the guy who couldn't even keep his sons from killing each other? Loving the rest of this, though it shines Lilith in not the best light, but it's the involving Adam part that stretches things for me in general. I like the theory but I don't agree with all of it, if that makes sense. Lilith's whole thing is 'better to rule in hell than serve in heaven'. And her striking a deal with Adam, and not you know ripping his heart out, is just odd to me. ...Unless the deal involved keeping Luci and Charlie, literally the only two people she gives a damn about, safe. cause, yeah she's in heaven and a beach (I guess Adam wasn't always an ass) but she's isolated, solitary. It might just be a lotus eater machine/ Elaborate solitary confinement for all we know. because why would Heaven let Lilith in at this point? A gilded cage but still a cage. Offering the apple (hey!) when the stick ain't working. I see any deal she might have with Alistor more about protecting Charlie instead of hampering her because, the sweet Nephilim child is already pushing a boulder up a mountain here, an additional trial to it wouldn't really sway things one way or the other. Which Al very likely would have done anyway if only for the entertainment value, but being forced to take a deal for it sours that immensely. I honestly believe Al's reasoning in the pilot is part of the truth of why he's there. because he's a sociopathic sadist with amazing dental. We also still don't know how Alastor became so powerful initially. We get a line that he stalked and assassinated and absorbed an overlord's soul (more or less) but he had to have been powerful for that first broadcast to even happen. We know it wasn't Lucifer unless they're both playing dumb for Charlie which is a possibility I suppose. But it's implied that there was an original deal since he came out of nowhere and started wrecking house. and probably helped set up the canibal colony. Whichever way the wind blows, the Second Act of this musical production is going to be amazing. Though I wish they were allowed more episodes. Sorry for the two separate essay comments, ADHD plus caffeine plus autism.

I know it's a Show so Alastor's hatred for Lucifer likely does mean something However Alastor's is very clearly manipulating Charlie more and more to trust him and rely on him and that deal for the favour proves it's working and she's willing to accept more from him, however Lucifer showing up being more powerful than Alastor's is a major threat as not only with a caring family member she's harder to trick but also she'll never be so desparate to make a deal with Alastor's if she has Lucifer's power making Alastor's work meaningless. also if when a good demon dies they go to heaven as mentioned in your video that means likely when a bad angel dies they go to hell. So where is Adam the Huger Sinner who is a Terrible person and everyone agrees isn't heavenly, well he'll likely then appear in hell as a sinner.

You literally just confirmed what I’ve been thinking all along about Alastors powers being limited by the deal. It makes so much sense the way you put it. Alastor had the power to defeat Adam but right in the middle of the fight his powers just stopped working. He was in full beast mode one second and then the staff was just broken the next. His power just got cut off out of nowhere. He even says ‘what just happened?’ If, as you say, his reason for being there was to hinder the progress of the hotel, fully committing to killing Adam infringed on his deal with Lilith. By killing Adam himself he’s actually helping the hotel instead of trying to sabotage it. That’s why his powers got cut off.
@burnedoutgraduatestudent4482
@burnedoutgraduatestudent4482 7 месяцев назад
There’s a hole in your theory If his powers deactivate when he’s genuinely helping the hotel, why do they instead increase when he’s getting rid of the sharks that are attacking and destroying it? Why did they increase in the pilot, when he defended the hotel from Sir Pentious? If the deal limits his powers when he’s helping, why would he be caught off guard and genuinely shaken by his staff breaking? Given this is Alastor, he’d know the terms of this deal, so his reaction to his staff breaking wouldn’t be “Oh fuck?!” it would be “I knew that would happen”.

I agree with this theory. If the vid’s theory about Alastor being (forcefully) contracted to Lilith is true, then Alastor is using Charlie as a means to break his contract. Think about it. If the vid’s theory about Lilith is true, then Lilith still loves her daughter Charlie. Alastor knows this and does everything in his limited free will to get in the good graces of Charlie. That is why he is helping Charlie with the Hotel almost unconditionally, revamping it, calling in demons under his contracts to serve, and even defending it with everything he has even against the likes of Adam. All this to gain Charlie’s trust/admiration and eventually use her against Lilith to breakout of their contract. He doesn’t care about the end goal of the hotel or its other denizens, he only is there because of Charlie, the one individual and the potential ticket out of a contract he hates.

To keep her position, she would need to keep it a secret and force those coming from Hell like Ser Pentious and others while also trying to ensure the Hazbin Hotel could not continue to rehibilitate sinners. The one thing i don't get though is why did Alastor make such a deal with Lilith? what deal did she give him that would incentivze him to strike such a deal? the only thing I would imagine is Alastor was once a powerfu Overlord, but him killing the old ones led to a power vacuum where Vox and others filled the void and they were more powerful than him. Fearing that he would be next, especially after his last fight with Vox, Alastor made the deal with Lilith to make him more powerful than the Vees and others, perhaps even make him a Deadly Sin or even the new Prince of Hell (Overthrowing Lucifer since he was never keen on the job to begin with). I saw a this theory on a different platform a few days ago and I feel like it should also be considered: What is being limited with this deal isn’t Alastor’s powers, it’s his ambitions. He’s allowed to have massive powers, but only if he uses them to defend the hotel and Charlie’s dream. You see this throughout the show, that he protects the hotel from several intruders and threats. And whenever he has to defend the hotel he says something to the effect of “I can’t let anything happen to the hotel”. He also straight up says “It’s time to let everyone know why I’m here.” before defending the hotel from the mafia sharks. Towards the end of the season, his ambitions continue to grow, even as he finds that maybe he may learn to enjoy the gilded cage he was put in. That’s why he has a beef with Lucifer, because Lucifer has power AND is free to use it however he likes. He also shows his ambitious side to Rosie, when they both comment on how powerful Charlie is getting and then Alastor says “she’s full of potential that I could guide”. with a rather…predatory look in his eyes. He starts feeling accustomed to the hotel patrons a little bit…but then something happens. The battle with Adam. After failing to protect the hotel with the shield he put up, he tries to fight Adam himself, something that almost gets him killed. And that’s why he has a mental breakdown at the end. Realizing that he doesn’t want to die for the hotel or the inhabitants and yet because of this deal he almost did . Charming as the residents may be, his ambitions are still stronger. He doesn’t want to be limited to just defending the hotel anymore. He wants to be the one pulling all the strings.

This is my own theory to this, I've gotten this theory since hearing the line, "She's bound to pass the test, as Princess of Hell" from that song as well. This stuck out to me, 'Test'. Why would they be talking about that? We've learned that they like to hide easter eggs in songs if you know where too look and this was a big one to me. What if the Overlords are testing Charlie under Lilith's orders? (I wouldn't imagine the Vee's as they seem to be unaware / uncooperative if this theory is true.) And when Lilith saw Alastor as a threat to her plan, she somehow got him to make a deal with her to help Charlie with whatever she was planning. This is my own added theory to what you already provided.

Not sure if it will actually happen, but it would be cool if, just like Adam's death means their deal is null, at some point Alastor gets the chance to kill/deal the finishing blow to Lilith. Charlie will jump in to defend her, just like she did when Adam attacked Lucifer, and her deal with Alastor will come into play, him asking her to stand aside.

considering his clear intent of that moment Charlie might be able to resist that as doing so would indirectly have her Harming someone and even if it doesnt i can see her doing so anyway as she is a Serious powerhouse so Breaking a deal with him might be in her capacity even if doing so harms her in some way

My personal opinion...there's one antagonist that is yet to be introduced in the show...roo, aka the root of all evil, the original sin herself, I believe shes the final piece, the one who's pulling the strings, maybe even...the one who could have lillith and alastor in her grasp...maybe alastor almost died in his battle with vox since alastor only ALMOST beat him...and lillith made a wager with roo saying she will use NO deals but she will heal alastor to full health but after that lillith has to not be around since charlie would be a threat to roos power source...the souls that feed her power every extermination day...when I watched about this theory it explains EVERYTHING

I like the theory, but I feel like Alastor is being underestimated. I don't have much theories on his deal with Lilith, except that I think it is either limiting his power or holding him back from getting more power. He is not a good person deep down, before his 7 year absence he ate overlords and other strong demons and broadcasted their screams on his radio station, and he seems to have a very determined mindset. I don't think he is really making friends with the main cast. He treats smiles as a tool to help him get what he wants. I think he went to the hotel to befriend and use Charlie's power as the daughter of Lucifer, in Cannibal town he says that she is "full of potential for him to guide", I think he wants to help awaken her powers and then cash in the favor she now owes him. His strange rivalry that comes up from meeting Lucifer isn't because of a deal with Lilith, but because he thinks Lucifer is too carefree with his power and status, and despises him for wasting it. The fight with Adam was as much to defend the hotel as to give him the status of being the one to kill the first man, which is why when he says "Alastor the Altruist, died for his friends", I think he is imagining a headline made by Vox if he had died, ruining his status as a terrifying overlord. I feel like his main goal is to break the shackles on his power and to become a tyrant of hell and overthrow Lucifer.

Hmm you got some things pretty close. But are skipping over some things that happened. We are told that humans start basically with nothing getting to hell. That humans brought the age of the overlords. This is humans making deals with demons for power in some kind of exchange ... usually for their soul Then out of nowhere alistor , man... gets there and overlords start dropping. His power set is not his own bc he's a human. Lucifer has power but Luci was the most powerful angel second to the creator. So alistor had to make a deal w someone and he's not happy about it The problem with it being Lilith . Is that Lilith is a human too. So Lilith also has to have obtained her power from someone as well. Maybe they have a similar deal Vizziepop the creator , tweets out a bunch of stuff about the show. Lots of lore stuff Vizzie said," there is a character she can't wait to dive into that has not been revealed yet" I believe this character is framed with a red eye in the bottom right hand corner during the beginning of the world story. She calls this character roo.. short for the root of all evil. I believe this character was In Lucifer's ear pretending to help him help humans understand right now wrong.. Actually she wanted man to fall and create the earth to be a playground for herself and demon or "her people" I think this is interesting bc everyone is fighting for their people But also she may have recruited alistar before he was dead. Coming to him as a loa Or vudu deity That's why there are symbols of voodoo in his incantations There is a lot to all this Hopefully this will get you started

This theory makes sense…except for the part where you say he’s slowly coming to care for them. I never got that vibe. Yes, he did say to Nifty that he was growing fond of them, but at the same time he didn’t care about Charlie enough to not take advantage of her when she was in the worst emotional state possible. We also know that he was plotting that for a long time. If he cared , he would’ve told her the instant he learned of that information. And he didn’t care enough to not threaten Husk with torture and murder. Additionally in the final song he seems to be mocking the prospect of people thinking he died for the people of the hotel. That again, doesn’t really indicate he cares for them at all.

In real life, there are true monsters out there, one's you can't and won't be able to redeem. This reminds me too much of Ted Bundy. I actually had an argument some years back with a colleague at work over whether he was guilty or not... their rationale was that he was too good-looking to be a murderer... I'm deadly serious. I speculate that Alastor is more hungry for freedom is because he has never been this close escaping his deal. Sure he has a long way to go but being able to make that deal with Charlie is definitely a step closer to his goals and with it: it becomes more real. Also I don't think that Alastor will one day be the main antagonist, maybe they'll fight him once but Alastor won't end up being the bad guy in the end. In the sing-along with the cannibals Alastor said that charlie fits all the criteria to lead and Alastor supports her. Rosie believes as well that charlie is the "ace in the hole". I think Alastor (like the father figure he is) he would like Charlie to be the new ruler of hell since Alastor knows that Lilith doesn't qualify anymore cause he knows her dirty secrets (the betrayal and everything) and someone has to replace her. The Idea of Alastor wanting to pull the strings may possibly come to the Idea that when Charlie soon becomes the leader of hell (which he believes she will) then he probably just wants to be besides her to be the most trusted advisor or something. Like what ever it is he tells charlie goes... Of course with that, that role best suits Lucifer which may explain why Alastor doesn't want Lucifer being around. And with the hotel still going I think Alastor would still change to be a better man to (not that good but better in some way) Alastor is too much of A fan favorite just to kill him in the end so I think this might be the case. I believe Alastor will use the favor he had from Charlie either to be free one day? Or use that favor for Charlie to appoint her as her most trusted advisor or something else.

Great theory! I've really enjoyed watching your Hazbin theories over the past week! I wanted to share some different theories/head canons that I would LOVE to see come to fruition in Season 2 and potentially Season 3. And yes, I know Season 3 hasn't been officially confirmed yet, but Vivziepop stated years ago that she's had at LEAST 3 seasons planned from the very beginning, so I wouldn't be surprised if Season 3 is announced as we get closer to Season 2's release. So here we go. Spoiler alert: This is going to be LONG. (Feel free to pick it apart and give your own opinions, I'd love to hear them!) I fully believe that Alastor and Lilith are connected, just not in the way that everyone thinks. They've both been gone 7 years and are now coming back thanks to Charlie and the hotel. What if instead of Lilith, Alastor made a deal with someone else? Someone who Lilith is so afraid of, she ran off to Heaven for 7 YEARS, abandoning her daughter and kingdom to escape. Someone who hasn't even been directly alluded to in the show and who a lot of fans probably don't even know exists. Someone who has the potential to be A LOT FUCKING STRONGER than Lilith, Lucifer, or even Sera: Roo. Sometimes called the Root of All Evil. Roo is a character that Vivziepop has only acknowledged TWICE (to my knowledge) since the release of the pilot 4 years ago. Viv stated that there was no character she was more excited to get into or for us to meet in the future. Now I will fully admit that I am not the first to theorize about Roo. Cartoon Universe made a great video about her a week ago and it helped me build up my head canon to what it is now. I also know about the theory that Roo and Eve are the same person. Whether or not this is true, it doesn't really affect my theories, it just potentially alters the motivations behind Roo's actions. What if Alastor made a deal with Roo instead of Lilith? It could explain why Alastor is SO POWERFUL compared to the other overlords of hell. This is something that was alluded to all the way back in the Pilot, with Vaggie's monologue to Angel about Alastor's backstory. She said, "Many have speculated what UNIMAGINABLE FORCE enabled him to rival our world's most ancient and destructive evils." What if that "unimaginable force" is Roo? Sure it could be Lilith, but it just doesn't sit right with me. Lilith doesn't feel like an "unimaginable force." Especially since she's been gone for so long and seemingly stopped caring about her kingdom and what happens to it. This deal could've been struck before Alastor even died. What if, in his voodoo rituals during life, he managed to summon Roo (maybe even accidentally) and make a deal with her to give him abilities during his life and after death in exchange for his soul. Alastor has been in Hell for a long time, so it's possible that, as the long years have passed, he's grown sick and tired of being on Roo's leash and wants out, but of course Roo won't let him. Now Alastor sees a potential out in the form of Charlie and by extension her parents. Charlie was unfortunately very unspecific in the conditions of her deal with Alastor. All that was specified was that 1) Alastor does NOT own her soul and 2) Alastor cannot force Charlie to "hurt" anyone. But what Charlie doesn't realize is that she is now operating under Alastor's definition of what constitutes "hurting" someone. Even if Alastor can't force Charlie to physically hurt someone, she could still be forced to purposefully or inadvertently hurt them in non-physical ways, i.e. screwing them over or messing something up. She could even be used as leverage against Lucifer and Lilith to try to force them to get Alastor off Roo's leash or Charlie will be forced to do something that has massive ramifications for the hotel or even Hell itself. Maybe, by some complex and dangerous set of circumstances, Alastor could even force or trick Charlie into TAKING HIS PLACE on Roo's leash. This would be an incredible twist that would have catastrophic consequences for all of creation. I would love to see what kind of destruction Charlie is capable of when she's no longer in control of her own actions! Lute could find some way to massively beef up the exorcists with stronger armor and weapons and come back to raze all of Hell as revenge for Adam's death. (This is assuming that Adam doesn't pull a reverse Sir Pentious and reincarnate in Hell as a sinner, which I have a VERY STRONG suspicion will be happening in Season 2.) Lute and the exorcists would have to become so strong that not even Lucifer and Lilith combined could stand up to them, and not even Sera or Emily could help them. Then Charlie, out of panic, desperation, and possibly even revenge, goes to Alastor, who takes her to Roo, and Roo grants her the power to annihilate the exorcists once and for all in exchange for her soul. Then Roo is free to use Charlie's all but unbeatable strength for whatever twisted desire she has, as well as use Charlie as leverage to further bend Lucifer and Lilith to her will. Season 3 could then be about getting Charlie off Roo's leash and destroying Roo once and for all. My other head canon for season 2 is completely unrelated to Alastor's deal, though there are a few ways it could tie in. Adam reincarnates in Hell as a sinner, and Season 2 will be about his redemption story, and how tough it is for someone as angry and damaged as Adam to change his ways. I feel like Charlie would be willing to help him once she finds out that Sir Pentious made it into Heaven himself, but of course the rest of the gang isn't going to want anything to do with him, at least not at first. It also wouldn't help that Lilith is back in Charlie's life now, and Adam definitely has some shit to work out regarding what happened between him and Lilith. Furthermore, Lilith probably doesn't have much faith in Charlie's idea writ large, even if it worked for Sir Pentious, so part of the conflict of Season 2 will be Charlie convincing her mother about redeeming sinners and ultimately forgiving her and her kingdom for abandoning Hell for 7 years. I feel like Season 2 could end by having Lute attacking the hotel again with an even more powerful army, and this time Adam (possibly with Lilith's help) has to be the one to save the hotel and show Lute that redemption is possible and that he was wrong about everything. I also sincerely hope that Adam and Lute finally have their moment that's been hinted at and shipped by the fans since the start of season 1. Lute clearly has some level of feelings for Adam, and Adam could start to see Lute as a new kind of partner, not one that was MADE for him, but one who CHOSE him willingly. I feel it would be a poetic and cute end to his redemption arc. Those are my head canons for now. If you somehow made it to the end of that fucking essay, thank you for actually reading my crazy fanfiction! If anyone has thoughts or disagrees with me about anything, please let me know! I LOVE to theory craft!

@@crossedoutpebz Thank you so much man! I've really liked your theories about Hazbin, and I'm SO beyond excited to see where Season 2 goes! I would love to see vids from you on any of these theories! I would also HIGHLY recommend looking into theories about Roo. She's a character that has a TON of potential, even if we don't have a lot of info on her right now, and having her as the one holding Alastor's leash would be the ultimate plot twist that would set up an excellent final antagonist for the show! But even more than Roo, I really want my man Dickmaster to come back so badly and for him to get an epic redemption arc.😫😫For real I will be so disappointed if he doesn't return in Season 2. Lute does mention that Lucifer is the one that got the pardon from extermination for the hellborn-kind, not Lilith (Ep1), So I just think that since Lilith was basically the one behind the whole movement of raising against hell (because we have seen that the sinners doesn't seem to function in groups at all without some strong leader / overlord), Adam just gave her the permission to stay in heaven. And now that Adam is dead, that puts in danger her place in heaven. Other thing that I don't seem to agree with is the fact that Sera might be in trouble, and for some reason everyone just forgot the fact that the sinners up until Charlie arrived, were never interested in redemption or salvation (And they are just straight up bad people how earned hell), I mean, If I had to protect heaven I wouldn't want those near either, so Sera kinda has a point

Personally, I don’t think Alastor is being forced to stay and help Charlie with the hotel. He did it to make a deal with her, which we learnt was not for her soul, but for a favour later on. Making a deal with the Princess of Hell could potentially be a stepping stone for Alastor to get out of the deal he's trapped in. And from what we have seen, Charlie will eventually be forced to uphold her end of the bargin, whether she likes it or not, to Alastor's benefit. It would make sense that he is only there to save himself and gain back his freedom. Meaning he will go to extreme lengths, like helping out with a cause he doesn't believe in, putting his reputation on the line, and fighting the leader of the Angelic Amry and almost being killed, to be free of his constraints. The reason he had to strike a deal with Charile is because he needed someone as powerful or more powerful than the person who owns his soul. And who better than Charile, who has proven to be very trusting and keen on giving people a second chance, for Alastor to take advantage of. He is not trying to sabotage the hotel, or seek entertainment from it's failure. He is following Charile's agreement of staying 'for as long as you desire', and using this time to get close to her, build up trust, strike a deal (which he has achieved) and stick around for a place to crash while he figures out how to 'unclip his wings'. We also saw in episode 7, 'Hello Rosie', that Alastor sees a lot of potential in Charlie that he could 'guide.' This potential is most likely referring to her power. On another note, I think when Alastor said 'Guess who will be pulling on the strings' in his part of 'The Show Must Go On', is referring to the person who owns his soul. The reason I say this is because he's currently the puppet, and doesnt want his decisions and how he lives to be controlled by someone else. I think Alastor's verse in this song was him cursing about his puppetmaster, and going mad about what he's had to endure because of them. Great theory MintyPebbles! So excited for all the revelations to come in Season 2!

I do not believe we will see Adam again. He died by an angelic weapon, which pretty much erases a soul from existence, while on the other hand Sir Pentious just got straight up incinerated by Adam's powers, destroying his current body and forcing his soul to pass divine judgement again.
