Gjirokastër is one of the most historical towns in Albania, if you are into literature and books I recommend you read the masterpieces of Ismail Kadare a world famous Gjirokaster-born writer ..... by the way we pronounce the letter ''J'' as a ''Y'' ... i.e. Jet = Yet ... the mint flavoured riceball is called qifqi ( keefkee ) and is specialty of Gjirokaster / local delicacy. much love

I would recommend going to Korça when you guys are back in Albania! Korça is considered to be the cultural capital of Albania. The villages surrounding Korça like Dardha and Voskopoja are a must see!

Great video guys. Gjirokaster is wonderful. Last time i was there was back in 96 and there wasn't much to see. Not many tourists at the time. It's great to see that it's being visited by so many tourists. Greetings from an Albanian living in Lincoln.

I don`t know your plans but in South i will suggest you to visit Berat, Korca, the city where the beer that you are drinking is produced and the ancient city of Apollonia near Fier. A couple of curiosities if you have some interests on history. In Palasa beach which is right at the foot of the mountain below the Llogara Pass, is a place called in Albanian Rruget e Bardha, White Roads.
