What a work of art!!!! This reminds me of the interplay of Duane and Dicky at their height of fine interplay. These 2 belonged together. It took me 2 times through to figure which guitar was which. 2 masters who acomplished what took D&D years together in one unbelievable jam. Where's part 2?
Grandissimo rory Gallagher.unico chitarrista il più grande con il grande Hendrix.umanamente unico.suonava x passione non tanto x i soldi.aveva la chitarra incorporata nel corpo come Hendrix.Dainese Aldo.
Don't know how anyone can listen to Bonamassa after hearing Rory! JB is so sterile.& those sunglasses in daytime & the Blues Brothers suits, seem so contrived, Made me sad seeing him w/ Rory's guitar! No one should ever play that freakin Strat! It should be retired! SRV's brother won't let anyone touch his guitar- that's respect it's not being passed around like cheap whiskey. I cringe seeing them trot Rory's guitar out for photo ops & I hear he cleaned it & changed the strings too seriously? Wow!
I agree, something about it been whored out for P. R gimmicks takes the piss, I always said it should have been buried with him Viking style, they were inseparable in life so he should have it in the Afterlife,he won't rest otherwise.
"Rock is best played by the blacks and the Irish"? Maybe...but _The Blues_? Absolutely! In my book, there's only Rory who really heard the talking drums. If you want native Irish soul, give Iarla a long listen, but Rory was a natural bridge, not an opportunistic pretender.
I'm NOT calling Iarla an opportunistic pretender,--just realized that last comment reads funny: I'm a HUGE Iarla fan. He takes his soul from the earth, and it feels like the same earth that Rory pulls the Blues from.
