As a player with a few k hours in Albion, I recommend that you play with friends or join a guild. it's a game that heavily rewards team play. and the game is mainly built around group content. this has improved over the years, and to this day most stuff is best enjoyed in a group.
Yeah I really wish I had friends playing with me back then. I only played solo, but Albion Online is hands down one of the best MMORPGs currently. Way more fun than other MMOs.
the thing about osrs is that if you are looking forward to participating in the endgame content such as the raids, inferno or colosseum it might take you hundreds if not even thousands of hours ingame to progress your account far enough to participate in them so thats something to keep in mind if you can only play a limited amount of time or just dont want to grind for hours on end
This is some great content! Would love to see more vids from you! Albion really shines when you stop looking at it as an RPG, and instead look at it as a simulation. It has true supply and demand. Everything is truly player made. Kindness feels epic and meaningful - because it's a cruel and dangerous world. There's a true sense of loss - and a true sense of gain. Fortunes can be made - and lost - very rapidly. The fact that all mob-dropped loot actually started off being made by a real player makes crafting feel tangible. Being able to look at any item and see who made it really makes crafting feel exciting. The hypothetical dream of making an epic weapon that would trade hands, see multiple tours of combat, and be sold and resold again and again - all while bearing your name - it is just... epic. It's a masterpiece. But at the same time, it can also bring out the worst in people. It can be toxic. And the absence of traditional RPG elements can make its world feel empty. Runescape, meanwhile, is more deep and interesting as an RPG and certainly offers far more for the PVE player. There are many amazing things that make Runescape beloved by so many. If games like Final Fantasy 14 are pure Theme Parks, and games like Albion Online are pure sandbox, Runescape falls right in between and tries to be a sandbox in a theme park. But it is an acquired taste.
As someone that started playing Runescape in 2009, i can say that Albion brought alot of memories back. Having that said, i grew out of rs, the game was killed when eoc occurred and i find Albion to be more attractive overall... Better pvp and reminds me of Darkscape, another jagex failure that could've been the best thing ever.
Yeah i think RS3 gets a lot of hate for its combat. Which normally comes from the osrs players. Instead if they just play the game for what it is....its pretty good.
Love RuneScape 3 is the best, still love old school RuneScape play old school before RuneScape 2, 3. Watch people playing old school to see new things in the game. Play Albion Online before it's ok the systems of the game, Crafting amour and weapon aren't great like old school and RuneScape 3.
Yeah albion has a good base when it comes to its crafting. I like the idea of becoming a specialist. But it lacks the depth that runescape skills has as a whole. Like almost every skill ties into one another in some way. which gives you incentives to level them all.
Combat in osrs goes way more in depth very vague prayer protection and gear switching is a very big part of mid/end game bossing and pvp other than that great videy
That would be consider as a minuscule amount of skill compared to most MMOs. It’s all about tick manipulation for osrs, which even then is nothing compared to other MMOS. RuneScape is a simple and straightforward type of combat system. A lot of RNG too.
albion skill slot is like copying path of exile hahaha, but path of exile is compilated as fk when i open the skill tree "mindblown", osrs combat is too slow and alot of armour/wep switching, rs3 is like a tick system hybrid of lock target skill rotation I wish it can be better if they can remove lock target and all just action combat type like poe but maintain the revolution auto bar.
every time I think about playing RS again I remember how Jagex perma banned me in 2019 after being away from the game for a few years I logged in, paid for 6 months game time and started playing..2 weeks later after getting back into the game by doing simple stuff I tried to log in and got the bad news I was perma banned..I could not believe what I was seeing, my account at the the time was 16 years old..I instantly appealed the ban and got denied, they wouldn't even say why? I emailed and appealed so many times I got an email telling me never to contact them again on this matter..so..basically jagex to me is a pos. For the record I believe at that time they did some kind of mass ban for botting and for whatever reason my account was part of that..there is no way I would ever risk my account of 16 years..let alone I wouldn't know how to bot in the first place..so again. Jagex can kiss my ass.
This may sound a bit harsh, but...Rs game(s) are the same with a very expensive escort. Classy and georgeous but no love, nor loyalty for the simping gamer. If there is no wallet, Rs tells: 'Fare thee well'.
Yeah your wallet definitely makes a difference in all 3 of these games. This is unfortunate cause i don't like pay to win. And i cant get it out of my head that im doing all this grinding the right way and someone else is just using cash.
That is true for RS3, but OSRS is as far from pay-to-win as possible. Oldschool Runescape actually rewards playing the game. In fact there are many items and abilities that are "untradeable", meaning the only way to obtain the item is to obtain it yourself. I actually feel like Albion is too pay-to-win for me. I loved the gameplay but noticed how I was playing at a net loss. I did dungeons, overworld activities, etc... but constantly needed new upgrades and the repair costs feel very oppressive to new players. I went bankrupt at one point and had to pick and choose which gear I would leave broken. Both games are a grind to gain wealth, but in a fraction of time I obtained 10 million in runescape (Enough to buy membership), while Albion I struggled to even achieve profit.
@@OmniDan26 1. Bonds are to unlock the rest of the game. It doesn't provide any advantage over any other players. 2. Even if you bought a bond, then sold it for GP instead, tell me what you can buy with it and actually useful? If I got 100m right now on Runescape, you would still have to train the skills necessary to use anything. No amount of credit card payments will train the skills for you. 3. Fuck off, don't speak on my well-being like you know me. If you wanna have a discussion, don't attack my character and just state your fucking opinion.
Love the detailed comparison, but I feel like this video needed another like 40 minutes to sum up the differences between all three games, nevertheless you got your points out.

@@passman36 agreed you can’t make it too long of a video till it gets a bit too complicated, for someone who doesn’t know what to decide to play with a short amount of time, I think your video is perfect, but for another viewer who wants to look at the ins and out of gameplay design and all that in depth stuff, I wouldn’t say it was missing anything, but it leaves more room for discussion, great job anyways brother.

damn man you don't know the real combat mecanics of oldschool runescape, where are the prayer defence and offensive mecanics? where are the gear switch and the combat mouvement to avoid the damage
Lol, I know about all of those things. This wasn't meant to go in-depth about the combat. Only to give people an idea of how combat plays outs. I know about pray flicking & tick manipulation and all the other little nuances.
