Hey guys, I been listening to your music everytime I play war games and different sci fi stuff, I am a huge fan of yours and I been dying to see one of your shows for a long time, but sadly I could not cause I don't own my own car and I been usually helping my family with my money and stuff, also one of my dreams is to actually be in the band Sabaton as a back up singer cause I been told by my friends I sounded exactly like Joakim but. I just wish that could happen, Continue to be awesome guys.
Hello, thank you very much for highlighting your comment. I would like to boast that my son Adam went to a concert for the first time in his life and I took him to a SABATON concert!!!! he was about 16 years old then and since then we have been touring together and collecting tour T-shirts! 😉
I remember getting the news of the four members leaving at 31/3 2012. And I remember thinking that THAT was the the poorest April Fool joke ever played!
The Swedish version of this album is, and probably will always be, my favourite Sabaton album. Maybe it's because it's the first one I ever heard, or maybe it's because i'm Swedish, but either way I keep coming back to it again and again.
That remains to be seen. (En FINNJÄVEL 🤣 här) So far "En Livstid i Krig" is my favourite, hence Swedish was the 1st foreing language @ school, 7th - 9th grade. Thou, during the decades, i had forgotten most of the vocabulary & grammar, but when i first heared that song, (live, Göteborg, 2022) i just had to dig out the lyrics in Swedish and BOOOM. The chorus hit me like a 1m long log of scandinavian birch. Så ... Tack så mycket Sabatons grabbar, för JÄVLIGT BRA song, man kan sjunga med!. 👍💪 Hälsningar från "Svenska Österland". 😉
❤That vinyl was awesome guys, ❤I'm a Grandmother of 15 Grandchildren and just started listening to Sabaton, ❤ as I listen to Tommy Johansson who is a great singer and instramentalist, ❤ that was how I now listen to you guys ❤xxx ❤
I agree 100%....seeing the live version here on RU-vid was insane! the Swedish crowd knowing every single word is brilliant. I'm English and actually prefer the Swedish version of the album. It just adds something...even though I don't know exactly what is being said.
I was at Thobbe's , Chris and Robban's, first show in Finland with the band at Helsinki's Tuska Festival 2012. So much memories. Thank you Sabaton for everything.
Lifetime of war is awesome, but I think the Swedish version "En Livstid I Krig" is even better. For some reason the emotion behind the words just hits even harder when it is in their first language.
Seeing this entire album played live at Fredriksten fortress in Norway 2017 ( Tons of Rock Festival ) was epic ! This fortress was the actual place where Carolus Rex was shot and killed. 🤘🏻❤️🤘🏻
This is english ver. of Carolus Rex 6:04 The Lion from The North 14:28 Gott Mit Uns 17:39 A Lifetime of War 25:38 1648 29:53 The Carolean's Prayer 37:27 Carolus Rex 46:31 Killing Ground 50:53 Poltava 56:10 Long Live the King 1:00:17 Ruina Imperii I'm not sure where The Royal Guard went, feel free to find them by yourself.
@@youwotboi9288Indeed! And as was mentioned, it is just included in the Spotify playlist. Perhaps also the other digital or CD releases? But not on the vinyl version, as you can see.
My 12yo have been struggling with “Stormaktstiden” in school, but thanks to this album she’s now have gone from an F (failed) to a E (pass), and had fun on the way!
I read about the four leaving Sabaton in the new Camouflage Mag... was shocked but so glad that you acted on one of your song titles... RESIST and BITE. What would my days be without Sabaton! ❤🔥🤘🔥
Carolus Rex was my first sabaton song. At that time i started to like Warhammer 40k. There are a lot of sabaton songs under another name close to the 40k universe. I immediately liked it since history is my largest hobby. It was also my first consistent encounter with Metal. Now I can't live without this beautiful music. Thank you Sabaton, you truly changed my live
Treadmill run music yesterday was the Swedish version of this album. I know almost no Swedish (yet!), but I still love it! Gott Mit Uns is my favorite track in either language. Probably because it's the most fun to jump to (but not on the treadmill LOL). Very excited about watching the listening party tomorrow!!
En livstid i krig är nog den bästa live sång man kan tänka sig! Man får rysningar i kroppen när man hör den. Tack för den här historie lektionen sabaton!🤟🎸
I remember back in April, when you guys came to Indianapolis, you guys performed 'Carolus Rex' in Swedish. I don't a single bit of speaking any other language besides English, but I was SCREAMING every word in Swedish. And I remember there was a brief moment where Chris saw me, locked eyes with me during one of the chorus; and he gave me almost that, "hey, I see you, you're awesome, keep it up" vibe with me. Chris, I don't know if you remember that, but especially since you guys are my favorite band, I still remember that moment as if it happened moments ago. So gentlemen, if I may, I must say: tak!
A Sabaton livestream of one of my favorite albums in my birthday month, this is definitely awesome! It's great to see the boys back together for another livestream. Also happy early birthday to Pär Sundström! Hopefully your birthday is a enjoyable one tomorrow of you spend it with the rest of the band or with your family. But I also have a what if question for the Sabaton band members (I know I posted this on one of the past livestreams): So say you guys were able to go back in time, what historical time period would you guys go to or what historical figure would you guys would want to me? (You can answer one or both..) Hopefully @Sabaton will see this message. ~A teenage 13 year old girl fan sending thanks from Massachusetts, USA
I saw you guys live last year for the first time during your Sweden tour and it was an amazing feeling to be surrounded by swedish people all together singing En livstid i krig. Många hälsningar från Tyskland🤘🏻
In 2012 one fateful day, A Lifetime Of War was in my youtube recommendations. I'm so glad I pressed play! I have never looked back and seen Sabaton 3 and a half times whenever they came here to Scotland. I still have my Swedish Empire Tour T-Shirt from the November 2012 show in Glasgow. What a show that was.
That's a great story! I found them via youtube recommendations also, unfortunately not until last year (2012 would have been nice...). That algorithm just kept bugging me and bugging me to check out Sabaton and would not stop LOL.
My son introduced me to your music with your song Panzerkampf (he's almost 18), and for that, I am incredibly thankful. The funny part is, now I'm the bigger Sabaton fan; he even admits it. We almost made the show in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We had tickets and were so excited for the show, but then suddenly we had no ride to get to Kalamazoo. Maybe on your next tour. In the meantime, I will be watching all of your listening parties! 🎸🎸🔥🔥
First of all: in my opinion your best albums! Can't Imagine how hard it must be to do it in two languages. Masterpiece! And it inspired me to learn swedish. It's fun to learn to understand the swedish lyrics and great to sing along myself. 😁 Så igen: tusen tack, vi ses på konserten i tyskland nästa gång!
This is less about the album, both versions of which are amazing, especially the swedish version, but I want to thank you for the twenty-fifth anniversary t-shirt that you offered through Spotify. I've worn it so much and I can't being to thank you for the opportunity to be one of those that received it. I'm so happy to have become a great fan of yours, especially since I only ever listened to Art of War and The Last Stand, (the song) through fan-made music videos. I can't remember when I started listening properly, but I'm so glad that I have. Can't wait to see what happens with your new album, and Par's game. Rocka på.
I love your song and guys! Adriano from Brazil! Wacken 2019, the birthday was the most important moment in my entire life listening to metal since 1991! ❤🎉😭😭😭
I’m beginning to see a pattern with you guys were you record a music video but you never release it. I say that we should start a petition so we could force you to release the unreleased music videos. That would actually be a nice gift for us fans on the anniversary. Also, to touch on that Sweden Rock incident: Why did you think that singing the English version of Carolus Rex on Swedish grounds would be a great idea? That’s like singing the English version of Du Hast on German grounds xD
Hello! Your live streams are something special. You give me excitement, joy and relaxation all at the same time. Hallo! Eure Livestreams sind etwas ganz Besonderes. Ihr gebt mir Spannung, Freude und Entspannung zugleich. 😃 Eure schwedischen Versionen sind besonders gut. Gratulation nachträglich zum Nationalfeiertag!
Damn, memories memories and memories... beautiful album still. Also, A lifetime of war tears me up everytime since it came out. One of the best ballads out there.
To whom ever is reading this going through a hard time I hope you get better soon and live your life happily and this applies to everyone hope everything gets better you’ve gotten this far you got this ❤
Very very very hard to pick one song….!!! But, Karolinens Bön, Carolus Rex, Gut Mit Uns, Poltava ..yeah you hear… not one song!!! lol ! And I’m refusing to live on a island!!! lol ! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 absolutely my favourite album!!!
I like the English version but I much prefer the Swedish version...which made me want to learn Swedish (which I'm doing). My favourite songs are Karolinens Bön and Konungens Lifkärd ( like Joakim🤘)
Good record! Great lineup right now also, all the lineups have been great. And tell Hannes to stop touching his microphone during these listening parties!! :D
you can see by their faces ( singer and bassist) that listening to this old record, that they miss the former members of sabaton, of that specific era.....sad ;(
One of if not my absolute favourite album by any musician ever. This one blew me away instantly and it still hasn't lost any of its magic. No other album out there can create such strong images in my mind. And it just lacks any weaknesses. The tour through Europe with Eluveitie and I think Wisdom was incredible aswell. I really loved what Sabaton did on that tour with letting the audience choose between different songs by cheering for the songs. I've been to two shows on that tour, and both were quite different from another due to that :)
NACHT EINS BEIR!!! Carolus Rex, It is one of the greatest newer metal songs ever made. You know its damn good when my dad ranks it up there with the likes of Dio's Holy Diver. Long live the king is one of the most emotional metal songs for me. Also Runeii Imperi got me, an American of all people, to start learning the mystic language of IKEA. Congratulations your plan worked Lol
Missed the live listening party, however I am listening/ watching with my pupoers Unsie Lion from the north is my get amped for work song as I play it on my way to complete a 12hr shift. My puppers Unsie loves "Gott Mit Uns"
Love the band & of course, the music. But most of all, i absofrickin love the family vibes. So relaxing & inviting while the class clown kids are out in the yard playing on the monkey bars. So peaceful! 😘
I'm a really big fan of Sabaton since the beginning. But listening to this great music together with you guys takes it to the next level. I really apriciate this. It's really interesting to experience your personal background of the albums. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Looking forward to the next event in Cologne!
"All that’s thine shall be mine, there’s no stopping me! All over Europe my rule shall be questioned by none! All I see give to me, that is my decree! My will be done!"
Great listening party, GREAT ALBUM! And just to say something, I'm learning Swedish thanks to you guys and this album. Thanks a lot for make the best music !
hey Sabaton, will you ever do, in this months, a listening evening based on your solos/bonus tracks/covers? i mean those songs that are not that famous like: Harley from hell, Kingdome come, Twilight of the thundergod, The Hammer Has Fallen, Metal trilogy, Långa Bollar på Bengt, Camouflage, and so on... because some of them are like a drug that you assume with the ears, saying "Magestic" refering to those it's like an insult, or whatever, i think you understood what i mean. I cannot wait to read your answer, if there will be one. and I'm looking forward to hear your new album after your tour i America! Wish you the best, Metalheads!
Lifetime of War (both versions) is cemented as perhaps my favorite of all Sabaton tracks. Or perhaps more accurately & arguably is among the top few of all songs (period). Heard the English long before the Swedish. The English version paints in broad strokes the Big Picture behind not just the 30 Years War but also every war throughout history until this very day. Though "Greed" in its many forms is the dominant decider in the modern era, Religion remains a not-insignificant factor in many parts of the world in conflict. Then the Swedish cover is more about the individual stranded in the nightmare of blood & war while they try to simply survive to return to home//family at cost.
This was so fun, I am sure I have never heard this in English. I went and bought it right after the show here. Looking forward to next month because Heroes is with out a doubt my favorite Sabaton album.
Very fitting that I, as a finn, am on my summer holiday right now very near the swedish border in Tornio (Torneå) visiting my relatives. I have crossed the border into Sweden on multiple occasions. This is one of my favorite Sabaton albums. Both in English and Swedish.
I’m a super huge fan of the English version(because I’m from the USA). The Swedish is good as well but i like being able to understand it. Carolus Rex in Swedish is badass live though. Thank you so so so much for these wonderful albums!!!!! Brilliant
One of my favorite album. I prefer the Swedish version despite of I don't understood a words firstly (later I studied the text of course)...that sound that power is just mind-blowing in Swedish. ❤🎉
