glad no prayer grew on you! there’s some fun stuff on that album, i loved it on the first listen. i feel like i’ve been starting to see more people say it’s a good album which is great. tailgunner, public enema #1, mother russia, all great songs. self titled being your #1 is so valid, the energy on that album is absolutely killer

Great video and I like the fact that we don't agree on the ranking. My #1 is Brave New World, for example. I remember when it came out and I was just blown away, especially after Bruce released Chemical Wedding, which I consider to be the best album, ever. I was riding a Bruce/Maiden high and I was very happy to get Bruce back in the band with Adrian. I love Senjutsu as well, though I overplayed it and can't listen to it for at least another month. And... Seventh Son is my #2 because it got me into metal and Maiden. Besides that, I love the album and can play it on repeat from start to finish, though Can I Play With Madness is probably my least favorite song performed live. Oh, and I also love Fear of the Dark. Go figure! But we're Maiden fans, right, and in the end that's all I care about!

Yeah book of souls for me was obviously a lower ranked album but there are some awesome moments on it. Matter of life and death for me is just perfect 21st century maiden

Anything with both Adrian and Bruce is above anything without one of them. The albums with neither of them are my bottom 3. I don't like Blaze. The songs from those 2 albums that I've heard Bruce do live, I liked quite a bit more. Di'Anno is ok, but the songs themselves, with a couple of exceptions, aren't up to the standards of the later stuff, but I do still like those albums to an extent. The only 2 albums I didn't like at all were with Blaze. Como Estais Amigos is the only song from those 2 albums that I liked. I hadn't heard anything after Dance of Death until a few weeks ago. When they came out, I didn't like Brave New World or Dance of Death at all and hadn't heard either of them since they were new, except Wicker Man, which I always loved. My opinion of them has definitely improved. Powerslave was my first Maiden album and has been one of my all time favorites ever since I first heard it back in 84.
@@RustyDarlington Flight of Icarus was their newest single the first time I heard Maiden. I loved it, but Powerslave was the first Maiden album I bought.
17. X-Factor - Judgement of Heaven is best track. I could do without SOTC but Bruce does it better for sure. 16. Fear of the Dark - Judas Be My Guide is underrated. From Here to Eternity is trash. This album is a roller coaster ride. 15. Virtual XI - Angel/Gambler is fantastic but my favorites are When Two Worlds Collide and The Educated Fool. 14. Senjutsu - Starts off strong then valleys until the end with The Parchment and Hell on Earth. Two of Maiden's best songs ever. Death of the Celts is the worst off the album. 13. Book of Souls - A bit like Fear, some greats and some clunkers. 12. No Prayer For the Dying - I loved it back in '90 and still love it today. Only Hooks in You and Mother Russia bring it down. 11. Brave New World - Consistent from start to finish. Thin Line Love/Hate is glorious! Least favs are Dream of Mirrors and Nomad. 10. The Final Frontier - Starblind is outstanding but not quite as good as The Talisman. 9. Iron Maiden - It's not the songs, it's just that I prefer Bruce. If this was Bruce originally, it would be top 5. 8. A Matter of Life and Death - I echo everything you said although The Longest Day is right up there w/ FTGGOG. 7. Dance of Death - Vastly underrated album. I don't like Gates of Tomorrow though. Sound like it belongs on Fear of the Dark. 6. The Number of the Beast - The bridge in Gangland is sooo good. Total Eclipse rocks! 5. Killers - Even with Paul, this is still bangin'. Wrathchild, Murders, Twilight Zone and Purgatory are my standouts. 4. Somewhere in Time - Sea of Madness is a favorite of mine. At 2:26 when the guitar solo comes ripping in as Bruce wails out the last of the chorus just breaks me. 3. Piece of Mind - Yes, Quest for Fire is awesome! 2. Powerslave - Losfer Words is my favorite Maiden instrumental. 1. Seventh Son of A Seventh Son - Not a bad song on it. Infinite Dreams is my favorite Maiden song of all time.
