you would be surprised how many health professionals complain about how "little" they get paid. That is a very solid salary for a dentist especially at an academic health center. That and her private practice she is likely making over $500K per year in a low cost of living state. It is eye opening to see how many physicians are arrested and prosecuted for fraud if you look up the US attorney website press releases.

Years ago I worked in a Home Depot store. I worked in the garden department we was to check everything. Two district managers was trying to get out with designer white rock under mulch. Everyone was in a huddle but me talking the situation over. The bag of rocks was removed everything else was brought. Never heard anymore about it.

This ain’t preferential treatment. It would have to be multiple felonies. For her to see jail time. Also if she has a clean record most people will get probation or do programs.

Stores wouldn't have stuff locked up that wasn't locked up just a few years ago if shoplifters were commonly arrested. Stores would not have closed over this (Walmart near San Mateo/Central) if it was enforced much at all. I'd arrest/jail all of them until nothing is locked up that wasn't locked up 10 years ago.

I disagree. It was a first offense. Watch some YT and you will see black privilege and entitlement you never could have imagined would take place in this country. Absolutely horrible people get charges dropped all the time.

You are absolutely right back in 2005 I use to hang out with theses girls that use to boost. One day I went with them and I stole 2 shirts and I walked out the store I has an adrenaline rush and got addicted to it cause I got away with it. Well I got caught and went to jail. And just say them few days in cook county jail broke all that up I haven’t stole since 2005 and don’t have the desire to and I stop hanging with them girls

@@soulsurvivor1979 - Good for you for realizing you didn’t want that kind of life. Back in the 60s, some of the kids I knew liked to shoplift. They would even steal record albums! I got caught, along with my sister, stealing penny candy and got caught. I was about 7 and she was a year older and we were in full view of the cashier. He called mom and when we got home, boy did we get it. She punished us even more for lying and saying this other kid who lived in the apartment building made us do it. The worse part is, after we were allowed out of our bedroom, my other sister and brother had eaten all the candy we had paid for. I never shoplifted again.

That's may be her income but it doesn't tell you anything about what her expenses are.

If you had much experience in criminal court you'd see that all kinds of people get breaks, and the treatment she got was nothing out of the ordinary. Most judges are pretty decent human beings, and when somebody goes before them, the judge is usually trying to figure out how to make sure the person never gets in that position again. It's pretty rare to see a court try to throw the book at someone. Which is probably a good thing.
