The most complete player on tour. His tennis is beautiful to watch. The power, the speed, movement around the court, tennis IQ, variety of shots. He was unbelievable. It was clinical.
Así es, un gran talento. Gracias Carlos, muy orgulloso de tí, de tu familia y de tu entrenador Juan Carlos y equipo: también es mérito vuestro! Grande el Palmar y grande esa tierra Murciana!!!. 💪💚🇪🇸
real djokovic fans will applaud this young phenomenons level of tennis today and wont insult him or bring up excuses .. this was a carlos masterclass 👏
Props to the young phenomenon. Djokovic vs Alcaraz rivalry is not full of spat with Fedal fans. But the lack of drama gives Nole no fuel either. Pure tennis and outplayed.
As a Federer fan and someone who's watched the big 3 over the last 20 years I really thought we wouldn't see another player like one of them for a long time. But Alcaraz not only is like them, but: - Plays like Federer but with a stronger mental game - Fights like Nadal but with a more atttacking style - Wins like Djokovic but with a more exciting game That's scary, and what a gift to men's tennis he is
When Federer was done playing, I thought tennis would become boring since most players only played baseline rallies without much variation.. How lucky we are to have Alcaraz now who it bringing the courage and magic shots back to tennis
@@galfitness Me to, I was hoping against hope he'd return. But, thankfully we have two guys that are pretty competitive. And the rest of the top 10 at least round it out and make it look competitive.
Yes, I especially appreciate how comfortable Alcaraz is at the net. He has good hands, too. There were some shots he hit that were Federer like. Conversely, the Djoker always looks awkward at the net, especially when he tries to be aggressive at the net. He looks completely lost, and he's been playing for decades. His net game is still so underwhelming.
Alcarez and Sinner can match his stamina and shot tolerance. Also, they have the power to hit him off the court. Most of the new players today carbon copied his style, but they don't have the reliable weapons that alcarez and Sinner do. Federer always did better being aggressive ending rallies quickly. But when he extended it he gave Djokovic and Nadal time to strategize picking on his backhand until he coughed up a short ball they can put away.
Today, Nole couldn't win anything by going to net either, Carlitos was passing him with ease every time. He was just too good today. Nobody in the world could've beaten him.
@@Chris-xc4rvFederer in his prime still had the firepower to hit through Nole, remember 2011 RG semifinal for example. But in the years after that he lost power and footspeed ant it became more and more difficult to battle Novak from the baseline.
If Federer at his peak could play Djokovik at his peak in Wimbledon, Federer not only could stay on the baseline and trade shots with Nole, but he would outplay him for sure.
Ive been a fan of tennis for 33 years from the days of Boris Becker, Stefan Edberg and Andre Agassi. I have never seen such an amazing tennis player. So humble and talented.
That first game set the tone for the rest of the match. Carlos played every point like his life depended on it and absolutely outplayed Novak with his complete game. An impressive and well deserved win for the 21 year old!
To me, it did not seem like he played every point like his life depended on it. I just saw him staying focused and being serious on every point because he recognized who the opponent this time around was, and that was enough to win the points. Did not even need to play the points like his life depended on it. That's how good he is.
Out of left field but I think Spain being finalists in the Euros also motivated him. As he said in his on-court interview when asked about watching the football Final that night: "well I've done my job..." I think he went out there playing not only for himself but for his country as well.
Winning from 2 sets down is very common for Djokovic, it's just wasn't his day and age is becoming a factor even for him. No such thing as "That first game set the tone for the rest of the match".
Alcaraz is something else. We've seen Roger grow into the superstar gentleman that made each point seem effortless (I know he doesn't like that phrasing)... the maestro. We've seen Rafa battle for every point, never giving up and driving opponents mad with his mobility and never-say-die attitude, especially in his younger years when his body could withstand all the effort, using that left forehand as a lethal weapon...the raging bull. We've seen Djokovic slowly perfect his game, until he became almost robot-like, with very few mistakes, mental toughness and perhaps the best return game of his generation...the most successful. What we haven't seen until Carlos came along was somebody who had the best of all three of those legendary players. A player, that can compete just as easily on clay, grass or hard courts. A complete player that already looks a certain bet to join those 3 legends as one of the most successful and important players in the history of tennis. He's only 21, can't wait to see how far he can go. Tennis is in good hands, take a bow, Carlitos!
Wimbledon sells their broadcasting rights to different companies. These broadcasters want people to watch THEIR highlights instead of going to YT. That's why their highlights are short. Is it a backwards system? Yes. But that's what happens when old people stuck in 1980s run things.
What was so impressive was Alcaraz choking 3 championship points against djokovic, who is known for impossible comebacks, but still being able to compose himself, hold serve, and win a tiebreak, another element which djokovic is so good at.
3 championship points WITH HIS SERVE serve against Djokovic, +losing serve first time in the whole match. Could have been so tough and demoralising but Carlos is too good mate, he performed truly awesome this match
@@JoshRichardson-es6vx Damnnn , didn't know federer, nadal and murray are subpar talents, nothing like real talents sinner and alcaraz(22 and 21 years old) LMAO
Carlos saved the very best till last. I've never seen him this patient and thoughtful in his point constructions before. It's like he listened to Mats Wilander in stopping being fancy and instead go to bread and butter, as well as lean on his strengths. He is a special athlete. That was a near perfect performance. He almost let Djokovic back in the contest by missing 3 championship points at 40-0 on serve, including messing up a forehand drive-volley on a possible out ball from Novak. Nevertheless, great composure under that distressing and disappointing situation. Against any other player, Novak may have come back from there and won the match... but Carlos stepped it up once more to finish it. It's just unreal from him. Novak is unreal as well, reaching the Wimbledon final again with such a short turnaround in recovery from his knee surgery. These two are insane freakshows. An all-time great and a future all-time great doing their thing. Crazy stuff. Well done boys 👏
Los últimos 20 años del tenis masculino han sido impresionantes con Federer, Nadal, Novak y ahora Carlitos. No pensaba que veríamos otro jugador de ese nivel tan pronto. Tiene lo mejor de los otros tres reyes.
Completely insane how Carlos outplayed Djokovic here!!! Total dominance in the 1st and 2nd set, out of this world level of tennis skill, creativity, power and mentality!! Sealed this final in the tie-break against the greatest ever in a 3-0 bagel!! With 4 Grand Slams in singles at age 21, maybe the future G.O.A.T.! 🐐No more words to say! ¡Vamos Carlitos!🎉🎉👏👏💪🇪🇸🎾
2011 & 2015 Novak smashes Alcaraz and everyone else in the big tournaments on the whole. Alcaraz couldn't even get the better of a 36 year old Novak, losing 3-1 in the H2H. Only 1 player in the history of the Men's game has won a slam at 37, in the singles and that was over 50 years ago.

Federer never lost Wimbledon final in straight sets. An old Federer made prime Djokovic to work for 4/5 sets in Wimbledon finals. And those were anybody's game. And here Djokovic was beaten black and blue 😂.
So satisfying to shut all the naysayers with the complete destruction of the Djoker on centre court today by new KING of Wimbledon! Djoko riders are in hiding now and too embarrassed to admit their arrogance and are ashamed. This was a demolition and beat down of the old GOAT from the new GOAT. Alcaraz is a beast and the future of men's tennis. He's just on another level....EPIC! 😲💪👏👏👏
I'm serbian, novak fan and and all that, but this young man was sharp as a knife today. No doubt.I wish all the best to Alcaraz, the future of this sport. If Novak hanged'his racket today it would be fine. He has done more than enough. The 🐐 OF TENNIS.

I dont want any comments or Nole fans..no need to say about their ages..King Kong wont stay too long Here where he is..or injury or someone else shall beat him..and he wouldnt be so arogant..but i am glad for his coach..i used to Like Ferrero...😮😊
Alcaraz took the ball from Djokovic the very second he stepped on court. He had a plan from the start and executed it. Naturally Raw Talent and So MUCH Passion. Well mannered young man. An exceptional star in the making. Congratulations Carlos 🎉
Kakav MAESTRO!!
Thankyou man, as a Spaniard and a fan of Alcaraz. Djokovic is amazing as well and his records will be very difficult to break by Alcaraz or any other player.
As great as he is, the best in the world was never Sinner, it was this man right here. Everyone is chasing Carlos now; and as for Nole, it seems the clock may finally be running out.
Ranking determines the best in the world and it's perfectly logical and objective criterium, taking into account the results of previous 12 months. Anything else is just opinion and speculation.
@@miroslavjanecek9993yes ranking can reflect performance in the last 12 months however not true ability of players as the best player could have been injured in the time span and falls behind on the points collection as is the case with Carlitos.
I agree. I adore Sinner, but Alcaraz has a higher peak level and knows how to battle through early rounds to raise his level in the finals. Some of the fans dislike Carlos because he's very outgoing on the court, and while I recognize there's a little cockiness there, it's simply because of his shear joy and passion for the game. He has earned his right to be a little extra in his celebrations, 4 GS at this age, defeating Djokovic B2B in Wimbledon finals, it's impressive.
Djokovic is my fellow countryman, i cheer for him with all my heart, but if he have to loose, let it be great young fellow Carlito. Such a nice personality and marvelous player.
¡Bravo, Carlitos!
I don’t care how many more slams Alcaraz may win in his career, but he has already proved the tennis world he belongs to the greatest of the tennis players to ever play this game. Such a champion mentality at this young age. Phenomenal! 🤗🤗
If Djokovic has no excuse, then his fans suddenly have an excuse. Alcaraz was so strong today, especially the first two sets, Djokovic had zero chance to play his game.
Now Fedals fans suddenly becomes Childrens Of Alcaraz.😂 Hey Fedals your daddy has Still along Way to Go To Chase Djokovic Records. Djokovic Is and Always be the GOAT 🐐. Lets talk in 20 years
I don't mean to be toxic, but this is the result I expected. Novak had a literally easy opponents at ATP 250 level, while Alcaraz was much more proven from previous rounds. Plus, he put in a fantastic performance today!
Now Fedals fans suddenly becomes Childrens Of Alcaraz.😂 Hey Fedals your daddy has Still along Way to Go To Chase Djokovic Records. Djokovic Is and Always be the GOAT 🐐. Lets talk in 20 years
dude Federer, Sampras, Nadal, Djokovic (toady clearly we was hampered by his knee or something). Alacaraz is probably 4/10 compared to these four on a usual day.
The most clinical mauling of a tier one player I ever witnessed in a final was the 1984 Wimbledon final McEnroe v Connors (6-1,6-1,6-2). This match, with Carlos is right up there with McEnroe's tennis perfection that day. I never believed I would ever see such a sublime dismantlement again in my lifetime! What makes this even scarier is the player whom Carlos overhauled, regarded justifiably as the greatest ever to play the game. Incredible!
@@malikfo1941 looked perfectly fine against all the other scrubs on the way to the final. no excuses. minor surgery or no minor surgery, he would've been completely slapped either way and everyone knows it.
Alcaraz is just too good. If he plays at his 90-100% nobody beats him. Respect to Djokovic, reaching the final after his injury and at his age is really impressive. España campeona de Wimbeldon y de la Eurocopa. 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
djokovic was not there today...not 100% .he never lost sets with 6-2.. 6-2 in normal days

Its a grand slam final. Not a first round. He has only Lost to Alcaraz in the last 2 years on grass. He just got outplayed. Alcaraz IS the superior player
I'm not a fan of Tennis but I used to rarely watch Federer, Nadal and Djokovic play and out of nowhere i decided to watch the Wimbledon final and Goddamn! Carlos Alcaraz, what a player! I was never glued to my TV for a Tennis match like never before.
Now joker fans with the excuses, lol. He didn’t look old or injured in any other match, and he was certainly well rested for this one. Face it djokovic fans, Carlos is simply better. Maybe djokovic has lost a step because of age, but I have not seen a player of Alcaraz talent level since Federer. He is simply an artist painting the ball as with a brush. And he is probably going to get better.
Reading alot of these comments, there's not much respect for Novak apparently. I'm not even a fan, but he's one of if not the best there has ever been.
when he did the on-court post-match interview , in which he went after the crowd ( Ruuuuune ) , only to do the "violin celebration" the match after ( Musetti ) -- I knew then & there , his mental fragility was gonna cost him the final.
Even though Djokovic didn’t play his best tennis in the first two sets, to be honest, there’s no shame in losing to this level of tennis by Carlos Alcaraz.
To be fair, Alcaraz's level dropped massively in the 3rd set as well. Not to mention he should have still finished it with 6:4. It doesn't really matter, even peak Djokovic wouldn't stand a chance.
@@simuntigmo6220 Peak Novak would have dragged it to 5 sets. But even then, this was just tennis from another planet. Carlos would still have won, but in 5 sets.
Djokovic finally feels what it’s like to face an all time great level talent that’s actually YOUNGER than him. Federer had to deal with 2 of those guys by the time he was 25. Djokovic has been beating up on lesser players like Medvedev, Zverev, Rublev, Tsitsipas, Berretini for years now until Alcaraz came along when Djokovic was 36😂😂
Fresh from a knee surgery, and being 37 yr old, despite all of that, he reached the wimbledon final. I'd take this as a win. He wasnt even supposed to participate this event
@@bqcjm2ldnstuff no one said anything about his knee failing during his performances against the two bottom seeds he faced in Musetti and Rune; he gets to the final and now we pretend he's a cripped pensioner
Djokovic fan here, I want to congratulate young Carlos Alcaraz on the extraordinary level of tennis that he showed on several occasions against the best tennis player of all time. Carlos is the most complete tennis player that exists among all these young players. I wish him the best of luck in his future career and to continue where Novak left off. And I wish our champion Novak to recover from this defeat as soon as possible and to win at least one more GS and round to 25! greetings from Serbia✌

@@emadkhan9110Djokovic is a fake. This rubbish human only start winning majors only AFTER both Fed and Nadal getting old and had multiple injuries. Overrated. Best players ever is these 3 guys, Alcaraz, Federer and Nadal
What a phenomenal match from Alcaraz. Novak very played well but Alcaraz was just one level better. Alcaraz was focused from the first point till the end which isn't something he's done well all tournament with other players. He only lost a little focus when serving for the match with three match points and a very focused Novak roared back. So Alcaraz did an amazing job to win in the tiebreak against Novak who is the master of tiebreakers. Alcaraz played his best match in the finals.
No wonder he was so good, he already has a bit of an advantage and Djokovic wasn't at his best either. But Djokovic reaching the finals just four weeks after surgery, that's pretty amazing, especially at his age.
Change of guards. Alcaraz slowly stepping into the one taking múltiple slams in an year. And Djokovic gradually fading into twilight of career.. Alcaraz's aggression reminds of Federer in early days - the way, Federer would quietly decimate any/every opponent. Alcaraz is a true gentleman to take the place of Federer in Wimbledon. God speed to Alcaraz🎉
An extraordinary match in tennis history. Not for the tennis, or even the result, which we now realize was basically already written the moment these two stepped out on court. It was the level of acceptance shown by Djokovic in the third set. No tantrums or racket smashes as we’ve seen in the past. No crying like we saw against Medvedev at the US Open. A calm sense of inevitability seemed to wash over him. That smile that was caught on camera between games in the latter half of the set. The way he didn’t even bother taking a changeover break in his seat down 5-4, instead waiting at the baseline ready to accept his fate. For all the talk of passing of the torch, in retrospect none of Alcaraz’s previous matches against Novak were quite that-they were dog fights. Despite the knee and title drought this year, this was the match wherein one era ended and a new one begins.
The way Spain has the one of the best athletes in sport: 1) Football so many of them (Yamal is catching my eyes), 2) Carolina Marin, Badminton Olympic Gold and 3x world champ, 3) Nadal and now Alcaraz in Tennis 🎉
It is foreseeable that Alcaraz will win when he is at 100%. As great as Djokovic's career has been. He is 37 and was already defeated by Alcaraz last year. And Alcaraz will get even better in the next few years. Alcaraz now has 4 Grand Slam titles at the age of 21. Djokovic had 1 title at that age.
@robert111k Firstly, Alcaraz hasn't won in Australia yet. 2 times Wimbledon, 1 time New York and once Paris. And secondly, Australia also counts as a Grand Slam
@tritone11 I think Roger Federer was the most complete tennis player to grace the game . He was good at the net , ground strokes , great serve, maybe lacked the stamina of Rafa and Novak. Carlos , at this age, is better than all three at the same age.
