I'd like to understand more about alchemy not only the esoteric but also the _exoteric_ aspect of it and how they inter-relate. I've been trying to find a good book on the subject, but no luck so far. What I'd like is a book that goes in depth about these things (the physical-chemical processes as well as their esoteric meaning as the perfecting of the alchemist): The alchemical elements: Salt/Body, Sulphur/Mid, Quicksilver/Spirit The alchemical phases: Nigredo, Albedo, Citrinitas, Rubedo. The alchemical processes: Calcination, Dissolution, Separation, Conjunction, Fermentation, Distillation, and Coagulation.
I'm working on a novel that incorporates the use and history of alchemy and this has already been so useful and given so much to read up on! Really keen to dig into the rest of your videos. Thanks so much!

tip: if you go more into Hermeticism than normal Magichemistry, then I would suggest reading about Mage: The Awakening/Mage: The Ascension which are TTRPGs that are very deep in Hermeticism without beating you over the head with it

Excellent video. I did notice one small mistake. Soul is Sulfur/Fire/Consciousness. Spirit/Mercury is the Mind. Spirit is a faculty of Consciousness (Soul). Mercury/Air/Water can refer to our Thoughts which ebb and flow through Mind. Mind manifests reality through Consciousness/Soul. The Universe is Cosmic Consciousness. Planets and Stars are a Coagulation of the One Mind; an amalgamation of pure Soul/Sulfur and pure Spirit/Mercury gives birth to the perfect Body/Salt.

Good job the emerald tablet is basically the centerpiece of alchemy. There is rumored to be more than one of them, but the one found with Hermes mummy is said to be buried on the giza plateau. The emerald tablet is believed to contain the base or root secret of alchemy and the deepest secret of nature on the creation of matter.
Loved your small intro to alchemy. Quick and full of main points 👌 I just wanna say something on islam and religion. As a muslim who’s not too different from any other half religious person, I’ve looked into and listened and did a lil research on the history of my faith and verses of the Quran. All that to say is how there is a deep and rich mountain of knowledge and how many things are so interconnected with life, changing times, principles, to the basic level of our way of life. Just incredible and same goes for other religions in the east, west and even the indigenous people of the Americas before USA. And alchemy, before chemistry was born, looks to have spiritual criteria or lenses when examining ‘stuff’. And chemistry kinda just kicked that spirit down the stairs and never stopped rolling. i recently learnt that in 1923, people were able to turn mercury into gold, by theoretically removing 1 proton. the people got a small bit of mercury and zapped it with a ton of electricity. this caused it to turn into gold. However, it turned back into mercury in a period time after. this was because it had too many neutrons, causing it to become radioactive

There's been an erroneous conflation of the Emerald Tablet of Hermes with 'the Emerald Tablet(s) of Thoth, the Atlantean'. Deeper research will reveal this.
Keep in mind even your metabolism is a form of alchemy😅 1: Calcination You consume, it breaks down. 2: Dissolution The ashes of what you consume is combined with water, um or whatever fluids is in your body. 3: Separation What is filtered due to acids, and so on filtering that in dissolution. 4: Conjunction Ah yes the worthy nutrients, vitamins, proteins, the good stuff. You get the ****ing idea! 5: Fermintation This is a no brainer, like many brews bacteria and organisms continue the breakdown. Unless, you got some bad parasites down there which, might be a good idea to seek medical attention then. 6: Distillation Okay so now your gut boils and breaks down this stuff into a purified substance. I am always looking for varied information regarding alchemy, my own alchemical work is both complicated and even convoluted. I use five zodiacs the western which gives us the body, the Chinese which gives us the mind, the last three are of course of entirely my own creation. there is the psychological zodiac, the spiritual and mystical zodiac, these are on the vertical moving up the body using the chakras and the kundalini energy. The last one is the transcendental zodiac, which combines with the chakras but is on the horizontal.
I love the break down this was an amazing learning for me.... but you went too fast. Talk a little slower and Maybe even slow the text down and leave them on longer. I have a quick question (Ps; I am a beginner TvT), you might've already made a video on this and I'm not sure, but, about the other type of alchemy that is materialistic, I've always seen people and pictures of flowers and plants being crushed up into these like, small bowls, with rocks and other herbs and people mix them together, and put them in glass jars and give them to people kinda like medicine, and honestly I like because it makes me feel like a healer, like I can make something so grand, out of the smallest little things, like a flower. and I would also like to study witch craft!! So, I wanna hear your advice, is it possible to study both?? They interest me alot!!
Hermes is a convenient myth used to ground the art in some specific place and time in human understanding. It is a lot easier than saying "a bit from here and a bit from there until we got something that seemed to work." Hermes IS all alchemical and esoteric work that has gone on before.
