Nostalgic horns... Nowadays these horns are rare maximum times EMD horns can be heard

Recently Vamshi Krishna posted a triple honk wonder of Alcos and really I felt it awe inspiring. Your video is real effort because many of these old Alcos are either shunting or scrapped by IR . The acousitic experience you tried to extract from these old worked horse alcos is possible anymore except for youtube. thanks shashank sir.

Fun fact did you know this horns are the same WABCO twin horns as used on all the earlier electrics like WAM series and WAP1 + WAP4… But except on the electrics, the loco pilot has individual control of each horn, which is why in electrics we hear a single tone. Sometimes if you’re lucky locopilot will press both horn levers at the same time and sound a beautiful twin tone sound.. See Mani Vijay’s video of the WAM4 horn

I love this type of sweet melodious horn, but sadly most of them have converted with EMD horn nowadays, and alco with EMD horn is so awful, worst combination ever... anyways great compilation
