*We just retired a 10 year old Keurig, similar to the new one **MyBest.Kitchen** the old one had a LCD display, but this new one seems like it is a little better as far as features. Turn it on, load it up, press the button and wait for the cup to fill. Much quieter than the old one. The amount*
Wow! I think I'll have to have a coffee before I start operating this machine in the early hours of the morning. A pleasant and informative review, as usual. All the best for 2022 and a lot of beautiful videos like this one!
They are made by Salter , exact machine. changed brand name. Great little machine but the glass frother jug is easy to break. Coffee first, then steam when it's hot.
I've got a similar from Severin which is 50€ on Amazon... Once you got your own espresso maker with your own grinded coffee powder / espresso powder it's a complete different taste and since then I'm in love with it.
Thanks for great video 👍 This machine works more like a moka pot using steam pressure to push the water through the coffee rather than a pump like a true espresso machine. Its advantage over a moka pot is that the coffee isnt being exposed to the heat from a stove which spoils the flavour. In my experience this boiler produces a lovely strong coffee. Be careful to secure the cap of the boiler and to properly lock the filter basket in position. Also make sure to release the boiler pressure before removing top cap. Not real espresso but makes great coffee. Once again great video 😊
Seems more like a single cup drip coffee machine. That machine won’t be able to produce a true espresso or apply enough bars of pressure to extract like an espresso. It is great for what it does, but its more a coffee maker with a steamer.
The coffee needed to be tamped down to work properly and I only realised after a few goes. It works great now. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment 😊
The video was good and informative but that wasn't espresso! That's more or less just fairly high preasure drip through coffee. For espresso you'd need a much finer grind, you'd need to tamp the puck of coffee and you'd need a machine that could reach 9 Bar of preasure nearly double the preasure this machine claims to be able to make. I suspect if you ground coffee to a true espresso grind and tamped it properly this machine would "stall" and not be able to push water through the puck.
Yes, great spot, tamping the coffee was a learning curve and since we’ve worked that out the machine is working great. The coffee I’m using is fine enough and works well when tamped 😊 thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment 🌈
5 bar is still a big difference to drip. I had this machine, with proper operations, two scoop of coffee with proper fine grind expresso coffee, pressed properly at the funnel, only extract to 1 cup mark and stop. It does give a very concentrated coffee that I can play latte art with it. It may just not having as much creme as it was in a 9 bar machine could do. But it tastes almost the same for making latte or cappucino. Probably if you only want a shot of real espesso, it mighy still have some noticeable difference. Note that this video is not operating in a optimal way for espresso making. It should need an empty cup on the steamer first, make sure it boils and pressurized. Then quickly flip to coffee mode. Then you will have pressurized super heated water to get most out from the coffee grind. And without diluting it further, pause it while you get around "1 cup mark" of espresso. Keeping the pressure, put milk on the jar and then steam it. That "1 cup" of coffee is very concentrated and you can play with the foam milk on it. I have tried illy espresso fine grind and it taste really like what I get from cafe.
