Last Sunday was Mothers' Day here in the UK and I was so very blessed to be gifted with an absolute ton of yarn from Aldi... yes, you heard right, from Aldi!

I bought lots of the double knit from aldi and it crocheted very well, iv had a couple of joints in them but on the hole they are lovely. Because I'm self isolating I haven't been for a while but when I do go again I will buy some aron and the baby wool to. I did see some velvet wool but since I last saw it they haven't had any more in. But love aldi there wool is great. Xxx

So chuffed watching this video...you brought me to tears when you said"hubby gifted me with yarn"...it reminded me of a RU-vidr named Ross who has a knitting podcast "Smells Like Yarn"....He has so,so much yarn and at times he even jokes if you help him organize his yarn stash (both what's featured on screen, yarn hauls and what's in the basement) he'd gladly pay for your services in yarn, lol...

That golden color looks like mustard to me which I love- I would put it with the claret or a deep purple.

I just found your channel. Here in the USA of Gibsonton Florida there are Aldi stores but just found out that the store sells crochet hooks and yarn. Now I will call to see if they have crochet hooks and yarn. Awesome video btw.

Oh, how I wish our Aldi in the states would carry all the yarn you guys get. We’ve only had it once that I know of. It was all the same type - just about 5 or 6 different colors. I got some in each in hopes they would continue to carry it, but nope. They did have crochet and knit amigurumi kits once and, again, got one of each. Nothing after, that I know of, at least.

Hi Dee! The Aldi over here doesn't have yarn all the time but I think they've caught onto the fact that we love it. So, if they can bring it in 'special buys' they will. If you see it, grab it, I say! lol x

I am not into the thicker chunky yarns, so what I do is split them if I can. The golden ones I would definitely split in half, for a cardy or something. It’s a bit fiddle to do it but worthwhile the time sometimes. Twice as much yarn to play with. Happy crochet.
