ITR were present at the Download Festival last weekend and during NXT's packed shows, we sat down with one of NXT's newest stars, Aleister Black! Black talks about his wrestling influences growing up, his appearance on WWE Main Event, going to the main roster, current crop of guys in NXT, his name change and more.

Like he said in the beginning of the video, WWE is not a big thing in The Netherlands at all, as a Dutch guy and a WWE fan, I am very happy and glad, that he is in the WWE right now, it sort of gives me the feeling I got some connection with WWE now, I got someone to keep an eye out now, to chant for, just because he is Dutch and represents my country, and hopefully he can be an example for more Dutch people who want to follow his path.

eric cartman54 He has to be on smackdown or raw. 205live would kill his character. But the live show in Holland where he comes from (I was there) He was in a match with Aries and neville for the cruiserweight championship.

He's such a class act. I had the opportunity to see him headline an NXT show in my town a couple weeks ago and after the match he went around signing autographs and taking pictures. He even grabbed my camera to fix the view for me since i was struggling. But he made my son's day and for that I will always be a supporter. I hope he gets pushed to the moon!

@@kennyomegapushcesaropushhe4184 He's definitely in that similiar type of in-ring character - a "dark" man of very few words, but his presence and actions speak volumes as a quiet but deadly predator. I wouldn't doubt that Undertaker has had some influence on his style. :-)

Aleister Black is in my top 5 right now. He has the look, the in ring ability, and the badass theme song. I hope to see him on the main roster soon. The classic matches he could have with Bálor, Styles, Cena, Owens, Orton, Zayn, Rollins, Joe, Neville, Wyatt, etc.

It's so awesome to FINALLY see a Dutch man come into WWE. I dreamt about that, I've been a WWE fan since a couple of months before Wrestlemania 3, but due to some things that happened to me in life, it is not possible for me to get into sports,I wish I could have. But just to see someone from my own country getting into WWE, and begin GOOD at it,it makes me really happy and proud.

please don't go to 205 live, like you're the first Dutch guy to actually make it in to WWE and be a credible title contender (we've had Emil Sitoci but let's be honest he didn't even come close) and we can't waste that on the cruiserweight division.

It`s just hard to understand when a sportmanship-wrestler goes to a show-wrestling company. Of course there are some points which stands pro WWE (even if the contras may be much more). Maybe WWE gets more open in the future for sportsmanship-wrestling...me likes tournaments.

If they see him as a big enough draw, they'll keep him away from 205 Live. Finn Balor is a good example of this. He is under 200 pounds and should be a Cruiserweight, but is in the upper midcard/main event scene.

Yeah I know he's good. I'm liking his run on RAW so far. I'm just saying he barely did anything while he was in NXT. Hell he's been pushed more on RAW than he ever was in NXT and that's SAYING SOMETHING because often times it's the opposite when it comes to NXT guys

Elias's gimmick was just too gimmicky for NXT I think. It was oddly straight forward. It was something that I felt would work way better on the main roster and it seems to be that way rn. I feel the same way about Velveteen Dream. Idk. I didnt even really see it possible for Elias to do much in NXT at all.

Why do some people have such a strong accent, geez.. that interviewer is so annoying. I mean aleister is Dutch and he talks normally... I just feel some people force their accent just to be fucking annoying
