4th World Chess Champion Alexander Alekhine was absolutely dominant in his best days. In Zurich, 1934, he won with an incredible 13/15. Here's one of his most instructive and striking victories ever, a 26-move victory over the great Emanuel Lasker.

Great game, but you picked the wrong picture for Alekhine. Not that hard to search for Alekhine's picture, really. lol

I appreciate that you add additional insight explaining how Lasker was perhaps overambitious this game. For instance, when he did not play Qb4+ move 12.

Can you please make a video about his game against Fletcher 1928 .. known as "gone with the windmill" one of the most brilliant finishing you will ever see . ✌✌

Great commentary as always, Sam. I'm afraid I would have handled it very differently near the end if I was white. Good to see how it should be done, white really dismantled black's position

Nice game. One of Alekhine’s best. Indeed, he was a murderer in the decade, with some 3.5 and 5.5 point leads in his most dominant tournaments. 💯💯 Cheers ✌🏻✌🏻

They squared up and played a game of chess, right? He didn't just show up out of nowhere and spring a game of chess on him? Because that would, in fact, not be winning a brilliancy. That'd be winning a scumbagancy.
