What are the bill sponsors saying the reason for the ban is?? It seems idiotic. How do you expect people to care about things they dont know, see, or experience?
These bills are driven by animal rights groups trying to remove all animals from our lives, including pets. They lobby legislators, mislead them, and tell them that it will prevent animal cruelty in circuses. Animal cruelty laws already exist and this is just another step on their agenda.
For these local and state issues, it is most important for residents and constituents to contact the legislators. If you know anyone in Washington, please let them know!
