Around 30 years ago I used to work in a music store as assistant high tech manager which meant that I demoed allot of keyboards, It also meant that I have allot of experience with golden age synths.
Due to the current situation where I am unable to work with my band and using the platform of RU-vid I am making no-nonsense demos of Synths with high-quality audio which is what counts most.
In this series, I am playing every sound so you can get a true idea of what this synth sounds like.
Please note this series is not about me being a virtuoso musician as I am making it up on the spot and do the videos in one take so there are going to be moments when my playing sucks.
As you are here to get a feel for the instrument I am noodling styles that I feel fit the sounds.
No post-production as the synth is plugged directly into my Presonus Firestudio and recorded in one session with just a leveler to make it more user friendly.
The main purpose is to show you exactly how the synth sounds and what it is capable of with no-nonsense.
This synth was much maligned when it was released and is the marmite of the synth world, so I have made these videos for you to make your own mind up.
I have owned this synth from 1996 and it is now 27 years old when I have made this video so now can be termed as vintage.
