I'm very interested in seeing where I can take the direction of sound construction with this one, for the moment I'm on vacation.

Those synths are good, it's hard to say what else is out there, but it helps to know where you stand in the sense of what is your style. The Alesis S4 has some nice sampled sounds, as Alesis is pretty good in that area. The sounds can be very crisp, but the sounds are also effected mostly by the on board effects, and sounds can be layered to create some havoc or strong fulfilling harmonics. It's a keeper for me to use some of the realistic sounding instrument presets as well to create my own sounds with it. Synthesizers can get pretty ridiculous, I down graded my set up, because I thought I had too much similar equipment. I'm still working on what is more efficient in the sense of a good set up for my style. It has been a puzzle for some years, still putting it together.
Yeah, It looked a bit lonely, most of those sleeper synths are not easy programmable but can perform very well; plenty timbre adding and other. I haven't got any cards when I purchased it, but that ADAT thing, I'll look into that for a history lesson and try to attempt a vid of it.
it's a cool Synth, can function four sampled oscillators and output them for different zones for mixing. I made aw sound great and there, but I haven't really messed with it as much as I should. I'll be making an album with this Synth alone sometime.
I was showcasing the presets, because as for this synth, no one really did. I wasn't doing any structure scales or such. I think it gets its views from the presets that people interested in this synth see if they are invested enough to buy it; not because the demo...or maybe a little of it. I do mess with the free style though, I try to get better technically. Rehearing some older videos of mine makes me cringe at some attempts of playing parts.

Yeah, it's not, trying to get better at that. I think I'm a bit better now and will try to attempt a few videos showcasing some key playing. I had one recently that I took down, but it was all the way at the end of the video(I put it back up) This video only does justice for listening to the sounds of the rack synth by quick improvisations.
Yeah man, this is definitely just flipping through some sounds, wasn't even trying, and plenty do sound very immature, I'll give you some good ones later, chord progressions, scales, melodies, the works. This video is about 6 years I think, I'll have to come out with some final videos of this machine, but next year, covid & storage, it's a problem. I'll just post up some videos of an acoustic guitar plus upright piano maybe, because that's what I working with at the moment.
