This 1000%. Beach music grows on you so hard and becomes your favourite. Such a sleeper. Such a weird fucking eerie vibe to the album for me that I’ve never experienced with anything else Alex.
YAYY MY RECOMENDATION!! This was great I loved the reactions!! You should definitely listen to DSU or Beach Music next because it sounds like his old stuff but with way more production
That "I don't wanna go back" part in Gretel gets me EVERY TIME. Also Cow is low key one of my favourite Alex G songs. I also really love his album God Save the Animals, probably one of my most listened to of this decade so far honestly
Album recs: Third Eye Blind - Self-Titled (I’m FIENDINGGGG for a vid for this it’s a great summer album for all emotions) Sun Kil Moon - Ghosts of the Great Highway Parannoul - After the Magic clipping. - Visions of Bodies Being Burned
The Third Eye Blind recommendation is connected to Alex G so it makes sense to react to it. Alex G loves or at least loved TEB when he was younger, did some shows "being" third eye blind.
You should totally listen to God Save The Animals by Alex g. It's similar in the way where his sound evolves a bit and there is some weird and more electronic/autotuned sounds, but it's amazing
not really sure how i feel about the album as a whole but it has probably one of the best opening 4 tracks out of any album ive heard. up there with the glow pt 2
Smags my boy, I've been watching you for a while and It would really mean a lot if you could react to "Floodland" by The Sisters of Mercy. I actually think you would DIG it. Thanks a lot my dude keep up the amazing reactions 👊👊❤
ROCKET please ! It’s probably my favorite by him. You should also check out songs by Adrianne Lenker and absolutely by Dijon. Also I’m still not eating until you listen to yves tumor - heaven to a tortured mind. I’ve lost 100 pounds so far and I can barely walk now. I only have 40 pounds left
Smags you could react to you wont get what you want by daughters or u coild also do the sisters of mercy album that i saw in the ckmments thats also a good one
Video 4 of asking for a reaction of Today I Laid Down Comment I put on the last video: Also, Today I Laid Down- Bl4ck M4rket C4rt is an album I highly recommend you check out The artist was an incredibly talented 17 y/o who was taken from us way too soon through suicide. The album would be right up your alley with the shoegaze and slacker rock influences that Kai took into consideration while producing the album. Rest in piece Kai Wesener
listen to god save the animals next! easily my favorite alex g album and the most consistent and high production one imo. its just great and i think its right up your alley
I see I’m not the only one requesting third eye blind’s self titled. Also, I think you’d lose your mind to Peter Gabriel III and IV. And of course Superunknown by Soundgarden
Yo, F11 sent me. Loved your Grace reaction, love that album to death. You should react to some Leonard Cohen! Buckley took some inspiration from him, I think.
Hey, i've been watching your content for a long time now, and I must say I really like how you always try to make an analisis for each song and then for the whole album, haven't really seen much people do that without the genius page lol. I also wanted to ask if you could review Dynamo from Soda Stereo, known for being the band Gustavo Cerati had before making his solo albums. Really enjoy the reviews, keep it up! :D
This album is so catchy but moody as well :) I also have a highly underrated album recc Alon mor - Within Probably some of the most dramatic and intense music I have heard in years yet its so well polished and compose. Most of the groundwork is done by one person which is insane to me.
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MY GUY a few recommendations: Process - Sampha (experimental r&b, great production) Nurture - Porter Robinson (light summer electric with fun production) Koi No Yokan - Deftones (very heavy, sexier and heavier radiohead imo) Hypochondriac - Brakence (very experimental emo rap, glitch pop) Reading Writing And Arithmetic - The Sundays (the smiths ish, with beautiful female vocals)
Please do yourself a favour and react to Turnover - Peripheral Vision. Genuinely the perfect album, zero skips, and I would say it's probably one of the best albums ever made period.
U should react to repeater by fugazi. Not only a great and innovative album but filled with great songs front to back. I also think 24 Hour Revenge Therapy by Jawbreaker would be a great choice, it’s a quintessential emo album and Kurt Cobain was a big fan of the band.
Album recommendations: Waiting to Spill- The backseat lovers When we Were Friends- The backseat lovers Something you needed- Flipturn Shadowglow- Flipturn Songs- Adrianne Lenker Unreal Unearth- Hozier Close to Paradise- Patrick Watson Young Americans- David Bowie Everything so far- Pinegrove RMCM- Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners Good For You- Houndmouth The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We- Mitski
Hey, longtime viewer here, dont know if youll see this or no, but one album I recommend you to check out is "A Grand Love Story" by Kid Loco, which is like a trip hop album classic. However I implore you to listen to the true original version since the one on streaming devices is the newer updated version that many seem to not like. You can find the full album on the Trip Hop Lovers channel. Otherwise, great review and vid as always !
Some of the songs on here are so strange with unusual arrangements and instrumentation. Whenever I listen to this record (and a lot of his most recent stuff) I always wonder how he comes up with this stuff
