My favourite album ever by my favourite band ever! This album really got me properly into music, treating albums as significant pieces of art. Also, the music video for the album is one of the coolest things ever.
I don't really see anyone mentioning it, but this entire album is a back and forth between two characters. The parader and the patient. It's deep when you get into it
this album is my life album. like, if i ever had a movie about my life and i had to choose a soundtrack, i’d make it this album. my favorite thing is searching the occasional reaction video of it just to see if other people feel the same spark(s) (no pun intended) that i did and still very much do. PPP is by far the song that will forever alter my mood-- i love that song so much. as soon as i saw you melt into the song when it first started i knew you felt what i felt too. thank you for giving this album justice! i saw them perform it live a few years back and i once again finally got the feeling of re-listening to it for the first time. your depictions of the songs were beautiful and your level of understanding of what the songs are about go above and beyond. i’m happy you were touched by this masterpiece.
I kept thinking "How does he not love this track?!" as you reacted to various tracks. Then I remembered my first reaction, in Tower Records 31 years ago. "Either I hate this or I can't live without it!" Fortunately I went with the latter, listened a few thousand more times, bought every damned thing she recorded, saw her live a bunch of times, and became seriously addicted. I am still deep in it.
I don't know why, maybe it's just me being biased for being atgentine but, I think our music is much more than the sound that came from the Us/Uk adapted to Spanish how (with all the respect I have to have to all the bands of rock en Espanol) the majority of bands worked in Latin America. I'm proud of Cerati, Spinetta and Luca Prodan (even tho he's italian) and the fact that slowly but surely they're getting the recognition they deserve.
The punk scene in London was massively influenced by Reggae musicians that were also a part of the scene back then. It’s also big reason why the Police had a such reggae sound. Even US punk bands like Bad Brains continued to add it into their music. A great current band with his reggae influence is Slightly Stoopid.
I love your channel because I just went though a whole bunch of classic albums in my head, and it looks like you already reacted to them! keep up the great work
been waiting for this one!! if you're looking for another banger 2010 album check out This Is Happening by LCD Soundsystem! I know you werent crazy about Sound of Silver but I think this one will be more up your alley
Great choice! One of my favourite electronic records from that era! Also the first collaboration with FlyLo and Thom Yorke! There’s a few great videos of them DJing together on RU-vid if you want to check it out.
Nice! This is one of those albums where if somebody asked me (no one lol) what's the most nicely produced album or the one that is most overproduced, first that'll come to my mind is Cosmogramma no matter what. I'd really suggest you reading background behind this album and how particularly last track was made . It's very touching and personal. Kind of a rarity when a electronic album has something like that. I'd really love to see you do Iglooghost - Neō Wax Bloom reaction someday. It is also kind of overproduced as fuck but beautiful and nice.
