Liquid is a good way to describe it. "Legato" means smoothly and that is exactly what he is doing. Smooth like liquid.

His sweeps are so smooth that they almost can't even be called sweeps because they don't sound like anyone else's. Maybe Gambale's sweeps are as good but they are still so original in my opinion.

The Princeton is sent out to a Cornford 1 X 12 cab loaded with a Celestion Vintage 30 (via a tie line) into the live room and miked with a SM 57. Our new site will launched on the 9th November with pics and tips on how we record these tracks.

It's smooth to the touch and a fine scotch can be described as smooth. And Alex would be a fine Scotch if any, haha! Imagine a river of old, expensive, painstakingly-made scotch flowing over stones on its way. THAT is what his sweeps are like!

I know that he's doing demos here from jamtrackcentral, but is he ever going to put together a band and play some real tunes? I love his playing, would love to hear some real tracks though, or has he already I should ask?
