the cleansing according to mitch had a lot of mistakes though i like how much they slipped out of tempo live and on that album which apparently didn’t have a click track at all

good video, dude! I'd only refer to the already formal names of those beats, i.e. first one - traditional blast, 2nd one - hammer blast (snare and bd at the same time). Anyway, that just shows a different understading and approach to the very same thing.

@vacem3 Im not sure but i think its Sabian HH power bell ride 22". He uses sabian anyway so it must be something from sabian and HH has large bells so thats my guess... That bell sounds sic btw

that snare sounds awesome, any ideas what it is?

@ChAllanz another easy way of imagining it is- playing semiquavers as fast as you can with your dominent hand starting on the ride (or whatever) and your non dominant hand hitting the snare drum. after getting this in time (preferably with a metronome) simply add bassdrum underneath the cymbal hits (so basically player quavers). just start at a slower speed and build your way up man :D

@xXAlecXxC i know, it's hard.I got a kit with really crappy heads,and they sounded awful,the video is on my page on how bad they were,but two days i got new heads, pinstripes, and they sound a little better,but i forgot to buy any resonating heads :'( so they sound only a little better.But i got a 13" 14" and 16" set for £33 on ebay,i dunno if you're american but if you were you'd still know that it's quite cheap.The only other thing i can think is learn a style that matched the sound of ur kit.

euro blasts fuck me up dude. im not used to syncing my bass and ride and it doesnt feel the same as hitting the snare. PLUS hitting the snare in between. just so fuckin hard. and i tire out easily. anyone got tips??

The first blast beats are actually called euro blasts. Traditional blasts are a different blast beat.
