Simple, but effective. Everyone is so caught up in technicalities that they forget you're aloud to enjoy the simple things. As for the "not so tight" performance, I don't know what you're talking about but his performance here is damn near spot on, aside from the little ride hit instead of china hit at 2:32, but even then it's not even a big mistake.
@SUICIDESILENCEMNSTER You can blast on either side. When he does those "straight" blasts, he uses his right on the snare. When it's an alternating blast, it's left on the snare. Basically, your right hand goes wherever it needs to so it lines up with the kick drum.
@mosh404 i know one is a MB20 rock china, but not really sure what size, for the one on his left side im not really sure ive seen him use different chinas since endorsed by meinl
@datommaster Two things, companies don't endorse drummers, drummers endorse companies. And his endorsement only covers drums. He can uses whatever hardware/pedals he likes. But like most drummers, he uses what he has. He has a DW stand, so he uses it.
Honestly, does it matter how someone plays the drums? When most people listen to music, they don't care about which hand hits the snare drum. I mean, isn't that what music was made for, to listen to?
@imdarrellkthx i'm actually not a fan of blasting to be honest. i've just never liked the sound. but i just have like the hardest time to get a continuous bounce out of it unless i'm doing a drum roll.
@chikidrummer his Tamas probably broke (mine have) and lets be honest, EVERY drummer on the warped tour scene uses dw hardware so he probably borrowed them from someone else haha. I love my Tama drums, but the stands are meh at best.
I'm actually kind of with you on this... I think he's a decent drummer.. but I taught myself to use either or, but predominantly, my left hand (I'm right handed). It opens up the whole kit. I'm actually faster now with my left hand because its my blast hand lol.
I would use a DW stand for my Byzance 22" Medium Crash too. Thing's too big and heavy to be flopping around on Tama hardware. Plus, as someone else said before, maybe he broke a stand and couldn't get another because he's on tour. The DW could just be a replacement.
i dont get why people complain about him using his right hand to blast. the only person i see who blasts with their left hand on the snare is Matt Greiner...thats it! everybody else blasts with their right hand on the snare!!
Mr. Fuzzz182, this song is that because it was originally only an intro. They made into a song and it's supposed to be straight and to the point. >.> their music is more than just that open your fucking ears. :]
shouldn't always do blast beats. What if he's in the middle of his song and he's during a blast beat then one of his sticks brakes. Yeah he can't pull one out that fast to continue the blast beats.
The majority of the song is composed of "breakdowns" with short parts of slow blast beats in between (if we could call it like that). I mean...really...what the fuck...
