I said it during the fight and I'll say it here that was THE most gangsta way to finish a fight that I've ever seen. Ref thought he got hit low he came in to stop the action, Alex grabs his his hand telling him no (without even looking at him) then seconds later proceeds to knock Jamahal out.

@@hmu958⁠he did not roll trip on his own foot lol Alex clearly steps on Hills right foot as he comes in for the hook - Hill is simultaneously trying to throw a straight left and slip to the back using his right and I think thats where we get Hills shaky delayed reaction from coz I think he planned to throw the left straight and move back quickly but Pereira stepped on his lead foot and got the hook in too quickly classic kickboxing trick

Yes pehehe has power, but the left didn't do it. It's an early stoppage ( err on caution, justifiable for a ref to do it). Way it goes, but let's no make it out like Alex mauled nor merc'd Jamahal.

Once a referee calls a "time out" a fighter cannot wave it off. Action only resumes when the referee has checked on the victim and either warned or penalized the assailant after the "time out" has been called.

@@whisperingeye4968 Nope. Bet on Poatan. Hill lost focus for a split second because he was thinking Herb Dean would either warn or penalize him. In that moment Hill lost focus but Alex never lost focus or aggression. When you apologize to someone for doing something illegal, you drop you aggression and guard. That's exactly what Hill did but unfortunately for him, Alex did not. In fact Alex capitalized off of the fact that Hill dropped his guard and aggression. Hill tried to throw a jab to distract Alex's forward aggression but it was too late. Alex saw Hill's stance was vulnerable and he attacked. Simple as that. I love the fact that none of you casuals can see it because you simply don't understand the nature and art of war! Congrats to Poatan for never losing focus or backing down!
